Hello, my name is Kirstie and I have been teaching for 20 years. I have spent time both in British secondary schools and in schools in Vietnam and Singapore. My main subject and passion is the study of History and I can teach this from Key Stage 3 all the way up to A-Level. My favourite period is the Tudors and I particularly enjoy the stories of the women of this time. I also tutor KS3 English and GCSE English Language and English Literature and am very familiar with AQA, Eduqas and Edexcel exam boards. I also have experience teaching Geography up to GCSE and find the two subjects actually quite complement each other with many of the themes over-lapping. I discovered a love for geography from my love of the great outdoors – I would often find myself on the top of a mountain admiring glacial landscapes and wondering how all the features were formed. This in turn links to my philosophy for education: I believe education should be a journey of discovery that allows the learner to move forwards with their knowledge and understanding of the world around them without putting them under so much pressure that they don’t enjoy it. I believe that effort is necessary in order to be successful, but that learning should not be a struggle or something that is dreaded. I am here to help students achieve their goals and become successful members of their community. In my spare time I enjoy running and drinking coffee with friends. I have 2 cats and have been married for almost 7 years. I am currently learning French in order to pursue my dream of moving to France to start a new life on the continent. As well as my degree in History and English and Literary Studies and my PGCE History, I have a TESOL certificate. I spent a month in Prague getting my TESOL and then taught ESL in Vietnam for 2 years. Outside of classroom education, I have my Lowland Leader award and spent 4 years running the Duke of Edinburgh award at my school.

I am Jhon Faith Ramirez. I am twenty-five years old and hold a bachelor's degree in secondary education with a major in mathematics. I am a licensed teacher by profession and am currently pursuing a master's degree in mathematics education. For the last five years, I have worked as a freelance mathematics tutor and a mathematics instructor, teaching children and adults. I took up a bachelor of secondary education major in mathematics and finished it in the year 2019 at Villaflores College in the Philippines. Right after my graduation, I was absorbed by the same school and offered a teaching position as a mathematics instructor. While practicing my profession at a young age, at 20 years old, I also took the licensure examination for teachers and passed it in the same year. Right now, I am pursuing my masters degree in mathematics teaching at Negros Oriental State University in the Philippines. I am also currently teaching as a mathematics teacher in a public school, teaching both junior and senior high school students.

Hello, I’m Rocky, an English teacher with a TESOL certification and over two years of teaching experience. I specialize in the fundamentals of English, focusing on conversational skills and IELTS speaking preparation. With a degree in Veterinary Medicine, I bring a unique background in biology into my lessons for a dynamic approach. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine and a TESOL certification and I am currently pursuing my TEFL certification. Over the past two years, I’ve taught students from diverse backgrounds, leveraging my communication skills and scientific knowledge to create clear and engaging lessons. Witnessing students gain confidence and achieve their goals is incredibly fulfilling, and it motivates me to keep improving as an educator.

I recently received my masters degree in chemistry from Imperial College London and I am eager to aid the next generation of learners through this role. I knowingly adapt each lesson to best suit the students so they feel like they get the most out of our time together.
