Maryam I.

I’m currently a University student at the University of York studying History and I’m working towards becoming a teacher! I love reading, science, pop culture, travelling and of course history! I also love helping other people learn and find joy in gaining knowledge and school :) I am currently a 3rd Year History Student at the University of York. I have 4 A-levels which consist of an A* in Biology, Chemistry and History and an A in an EPQ. I also have 11 GCSEs which I achieved grades 7-9 in. My teaching experience consists of 4 years of private academic tutoring in various subjects at various levels.

I'm currently a third year undergraduate student studying geology with a specific interest in structural geology and hydrothermal mineralisation. I am planning on doing an MSc in Mining Engineering in the next accademic year. My main area of specialty is geology or physical geography, but I am competent with chemistry and physics; especially the areas which overlap with the geosciences. I have a strong love of the outdoors, especially sea swimming, hiking and rock scrambling!!! I also enjoy frisbee as well as music. In 2019 I finished my A-levels achieving an A in physics (Edexcel), A in chemistry (AQA), A* in geology (WJEC) and an A* in EPQ (AQA on the "potential for lithium extraction in Cornwall". During my undergraduate studies I have had expsosure to science communication via training from geologize and other experiences. I am an active part of the geoscience community as a member of the mineralogical society, IOM3 and a fellow of the Geological Society.

Hello! I am an undergraduate student of Computer Science at UCL in my first year. I volunteer with Age UK in my free time, and love to read (favourite books: Kane and Abel, and Hitchhiker's Guide) and paint (favourite artists: Renoir and Degas). My grades at school were as follows: A-levels - Maths (A*), Further Maths (A*), Physics (A*), Computer Science (A*) and Chemistry (A) GCSEs - Maths, Triple Science, English Literature and Language, Spanish, History (all A*s) and Computer Science (A) Exam Board: WJEC, AQA, Edexcel Languages: English, Hindi, Gujarati, and Spanish Preferred student age group: A-levels/GCSEs or younger About me: Having moved to the UK from India a few years ago, I love exploring new cultures by interacting with people. I am studying now to fulfil my dream of working for a space agency someday and I'd love to help every child achieve theirs as well!

I have always had a passion teaching since I was young when I used to help out at my old 11+ tuition! When I'm not attending university I love to read and relax with my friends and family. I am currently studying dentistry and am in my 3rd year of university. For my secondary school I attended a selective grammar school where I took my GCSEs. I was able to earn 11 GCSEs with grades ranging from A*- B in all subjects. I then went on to sixth form where I took English Lang/Lit, Chemistry, Biology and Maths for A Level. I managed to achieve grades A*-B in these subjects too.
