I have two younger sisters who I've always had very good relationships with. I love sports and whilst at school I captained the cross country team to the English Schools Cup Final. I was also an integral member of the hockey 1st team. I also enjoy activities like climbing, hiking and mountain biking. I play guitar and recently got a merit in Grade 8. I relish learning new skills, such as juggling which I can currently do with 4 balls. I am a former research scientist and now a professional tutor, and I offer tuition in biology, physics and chemistry GCSE and chemistry A level. I employ a steady pace with the student and frequently return to previously covered material to reinforce understanding. Wherever possibly to attempt to link the material covered to something relatable to the student. I strongly believe that every topic, if properly approached, can be a source of fascination. In my spare time I write science fiction novels, and am currently working on my first fantasy novel.

I'm Ashley, I'm a first-class maths graduate and an enthusiastic maths tutor! I enjoy video games, quizzes and gameshows, and trying to be funny at every opportunity I get; lessons are only as fun as the person teaching them so I believe in being entertaining, even if I look silly in the process!
