About me

I am a second year mathematics undergraduate at the University Of Bristol and excited to pass on my knowledge to young students who are taking their GCSEs. I aim to make my lessons an interactive and comfortable environment to ensure my students are happy to work with me and gain as much knowledge as possible. In addition I believe my lessons will allow for my students to not only gain the skills needed for their GCSEs such as critical thinking and problem solving but also gain and strengthen their confidence and communication skills. I am happy with most exam boards including AQA, OCR and Edexcel.

I am a former research scientist and now a professional tutor, and I offer tuition in biology, physics and chemistry GCSE and chemistry A level. I employ a steady pace with the student and frequently return to previously covered material to reinforce understanding. Wherever possibly to attempt to link the material covered to something relatable to the student. I strongly believe that every topic, if properly approached, can be a source of fascination. In my spare time I write science fiction novels, and am currently working on my first fantasy novel.

I'm Ashley, I'm a first-class maths graduate and an enthusiastic maths tutor! I enjoy video games, quizzes and gameshows, and trying to be funny at every opportunity I get; lessons are only as fun as the person teaching them so I believe in being entertaining, even if I look silly in the process! Don't let my sense of fun and humour fool though, I know my stuff and will enjoy any opportunity to pass on my knowledge :) First Class Mathematics with Computer Science at University of Sussex; A* in A-level Mathematics; A in A-level Further Maths; C in Applied A-level ICT; A+ in GCSE Mathematics; A in GCSE Statistics; 2As in GCSE Double Science; A in GCSE History; B in GCSE Geography; 2Bs in English Language and Literature; 4As in Diploma of Digital Applications.
