I am currently completing a PhD in Economics at NTU. As such I have deep subject knowledge and a profound understanding of mathematical and quantitative methods. I have studied and tutored A-level and undergraduate Mathematics and Economics in successful peer-mentoring programmes, utilising my skills to help struggling students attain their goals. Alongside my studies, I also deliver lectures and seminars to undergraduate students and supervise undergraduates and masters students. Further to this, I have also worked with students with learning difficulties to improve their basic mathematics. I am personable in my teaching and so I employ patience and discussion to ensure a thorough and comprehensive understanding of subject content. I am able to recognise when a concept is not understood and present it in various ways to suit the student and assist in understanding. I then help students apply this to problems to ensure a deep understanding of subject matter. I call on previously taught concepts to build on foundation knowledge in order to (a) consolidate previously learned material and (b) assist in the understanding of more complex concepts.

Hello, My name is Ali and I am a graduate in BA Geography from the University of Exeter. I absolutely loved my studies and encourage any student to go on to study Geography, as it is so relevant and useful for many aspects of daily life, as well as being a strong subject through which to pursue further education. I look forward to meeting students and sharing my passions and knowledge. I also proof read and advise with study skills, such as referencing and academic writing for secondary school and university students. I make studying engaging and fun and and like to explore creative options to stimulate students whilst studying online. I look forward to meeting you soon! I am an enthusiastic individual not only with fantastic communication skills but also a hard-working nature and take my work very seriously. I can create unique relationships with people. I like to support and help others develop. I am always looking for the positives in every situation. I am open to learning in the ways I may lack as I am always looking for ways to improve the way I perform so I can work to the highest standards possible in my role. I have a logical approach to learning and so I believe I would be able to explain complex principles simply. I enjoy seeing positive student interactions and feedback during sessions. I am very excited to be a part of GoStudent. I have just finished my A levels and currently hold an offer to study medicine. My A-Level subjects include BIology chemistry and maths of which chemistry was my favourite. regardless, I have a solid track record in Maths, which I believe is due to my ability to grasp concepts quickly and easily.
