As a National swimmer, swimming has always been my burning passion. The experience of representing my motherland at various championships in the sporting arena has also taught me to relish challenges and work together with my teammates to achieve a common goal. I was the headhouse prefect and student representative at my school and this role as a leader made me what I am today. Hey! I’m a 20 year-old living in London and studying Education Studies at UCL. I love reading both fiction and non-fiction books as well as reading and writing poetry. I enjoy all things fitness and swimming and studying the arabic language. I have been tutoring English for 2 years and teach it at primary level and 11+ (verbal and non-verbal reasoning) as well as English literature and language from year 7-GCSE level. I'm an English tutor with over 7 years of experience mainly with young learners and kids. For the past two years I got the chance to be an online tutor for a company based in China. I am such a joyful and energetic person, in love with animals, able to meet deadlines , open to always consider new thoughts and wearing a big smile to spread happiness... Hi! I'm Alfa. GCSE: Chemistry, Biology, Maths A-Level: Preferred student age group: upto GCSEs I enjoy watching medical documentaries, playing board games, meeting new people, travelling, trying different food, baking (sometimes), and I can speak 3 languages: English, Hindi and Konkani. Teaching is also what I enjoy. In the past, I had set up a revision group with a few of my friends, and helped them get their first A grade in the final GCSE exam! My lessons are very interactive, and I am open to any ideas to make them even better. To succeed, I believe a strong foundation is the key, which is why I work on the basics first with my students, before moving to the harder concepts. Homeworks and revisiting topics will help retain the information.
