As a graduate of English Language from Swansea University I have a sound knowledge of grammar and meaning. As well as my degree I have a CELTA certification which allows me to teach English as a second language. Through CELTA I have taught many beginner and advanced level learners. I am an undergraduate student, studying English at University of Nottingham. I have experience with both young children and teenagers, and enjoy both making learning fun, and helping young people meet their full potential! I'm friendly and proactive, and have experience working with children with a variety of needs. Most importantly, I believe learning should be suited to the student, not the teacher! I enjoy writing during my free-time, particularly for Nottingham's student publication, and working with young people - whether through sports teams, after-school clubs, or tutoring. I studied at a state comprehensive school in London, where I achieved 10 A*'s-B's at GCSE - including a B in Maths, A's in Science, and A's in both English Language and Literature - and A's and B's at A-Level. I'm currently an undergraduate student studying English, the subject where my strengths most definitely lie. I previously studied in London while working full-time, and am interested in pursuing a TEFL to teach young people English as a second-language.

I am Tom, I am 21 years old, and am currently in my 4th year (master's year) studying Physics with Astrophysics at Newcastle University. When having a break from work, I enjoy windsurfing, drumming, and learning Swedish. The prior two I have done some teaching in, albeit non-analytical, have provided me with a strong sense of communication and the ability to simplify elements of the task at hand. I am fluent in English, and as said previously, I have been learning Swedish and continue to do so. I have been teaching myself Swedish for the past 3 years, and have intermediate proficiency in the language. I am a Grade 8 Rockschool-qualified drummer and have also been teaching myself guitar for the past few years, and have done some informal lessons.
