My method for GCSE/ A-Level tutoring involves using mini-tests and looking at past assessments completed by the student to identify areas of weakness, and this will enable us to develop a better understanding of those topics. During the sessions, we will also look through exam questions and examiner reports together to identify and practice the skills required to achieve the top grades. Most importantly, I will work on building the student's confidence in their subject through these tailored sessions so they can reach their full academic potential. As for primary school students, my aim is to encourage the students to learn through educational and fun sessions which incorporate their personal interests to keep them engaged. I am very passionate about maths and the sciences, and I hope I can pass that on to my tutees. My non-academic interests include: archery, painting and embroidery. My teaching style is to adapt to each individual’s learning styles. I also do a lot of past papers as I want you to be able to use your knowledge to be able to tackle any questions. I am a 3rd year medical student. I got 3As at Alevel and 5A*s at GCSE. I have been tutoring for 2 years now for ages from year 3 to year 11. Hi! My name's Nitharan but I go by Niv and I'm a graduate from Imperial College London in Medical Sciences with Management and I'm also currently a medical student. As you might be able to work out, I have a lot of passion for the sciences, especially Biology and Chemistry (I also love a bit of Maths too) and I love teaching them. My aim is to make all my students love what I teach as much as I do, and I try to answer as many of those questions where your teachers might say 'you'll learn about it at uni'! I believe education should never have a cap on it and it should also be at the pace of the student, which is why my lessons are tailored specifically for each individual student. My name is Melissa. :) I tutor: -Any year of English/Scottish curriculum primary school. -Years 7-11 English curriculum high school. -S1-5 Scottish curriculum high school (including National 5 and Higher) I have been a tutor with GoStudent for two years, tutoring high school and primary school students. Previously, I was an assistant in a Pupil Support English class for a year. I assisted students in various ways, such as helping them to read, write and create stories. I received an award from my school for my work in Pupil Support. I tutored a National 5 pupil in my high school. I co-run a junior creative writing club so I have experience making creative writing engaging. I am the Classics Representative of my university book club, planning and running the weekly sessions. I enjoy reading and writing and have done most of my life. I am going into my third year of university, studying English Studies. I received all unconditional offers. I achieved an A in National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher English. I have a 120+ hour TEFL qualification which allows me to teach English as a foreign language online, in this country, or abroad. This qualification included 50-hr TEFL, 30-hr Grammar & Language Awareness, 20-hr Video Observation, 10-hr Telephone Teaching and 10-hr Teaching Large Classes Courses. The telephone teaching section of the course covered online teaching such as making lessons engaging.
