Hi! My name is Marjana! I am currently an undergraduate student at Aston University. I am a dedicated maths tutor who aims to make each and every lesson fun and interactive. I love teaching and proving to students that learning maths can be fun! I have successfully delivered over 300 lessons with Gostudent, helping many students improve not only their grades but also their confidence when it comes to learning and studying! I’ve previously worked as a teaching assistant, helping students between year 7 and year 11 in maths. Working in a school environment has allowed me to identify where students struggle in maths. I have planned and structured maths lessons which has aided my tutoring online. I have experience working with children of all ages, as I have a Level 3 Qualification in teaching Sports. I have tutored students of a variety of abilities, including children with learning difficulties. I aim to cater every lesson to the student's particular needs. I tutor maths from primary level up to GCSE, while also tutoring English at primary level. I also work with students taking their 11+ or higher exams. I can also tutor students who are taking Business Studies GCSE/ A-level.

Working as a Maths, English and 11+ tutor for the past 7 years, I have had the pleasure of teaching children aged 4 to 16 from various backgrounds. My job role includes working with children whom had special educational needs and those who speak limited English therefore I believe it to be vital that each individual’s way of learning is taken into account, through organising imaginative and stimulating projects to motivate the children. I believe patience to be extremely important when tutoring any child and I am certain that I am able to carry forward these skills when teaching your child. I have also worked as a music teacher for the past 3 years, teaching composition to children aged 7 through to 11 whilst additionally conducting individual singing lessons and leading the choir. I successfully organised lesson plans in line with the curriculum objectives and continued to present a dynamic delivery to the children. Through this role, I was able to support the improvement of the children’s confidence in composition and performance, whilst working closely with colleagues and liaising with parents to ensure that children were both learning and enjoying their education. I have a strong passion for both children’s educational progress but additionally their respective self-development. I believe that the best way to learn is to teach, and the best way to teach comes from experience, learning and patience, as well as a bit of interest of course. Apart from being part of the Go Student team, I teach one-on-one English classes (grammar, conversational, business, presentational, interview/exam prep, language, literature, etc.) to foreign students from beginner levels to more advanced levels, ranging from ages 3 all the way up to more senior years. I am very passionate about teaching and being able to assist the young minds of tomorrow's future achieve the best they can! As a dynamic teacher I use methods that are not entirely by the book - lessons are structured in a way that is meant to feel as if it is natural and not your typical school lesson - it is FUN, yet VALUABLE! I curate lessons and the process of the tutoring according to my student's needs and at their pace. I have many positive long-term relationships with my students and I look forward to creating more, whilst also being the best motivation I can be to help with learning needs.
