Hello! My name is Hattie and I am 20 years old. I have been an online tutor with GoStudent for two years now teaching students Maths, English, Geography and Spanish at a variety of ages and abilities. I really enjoy tutoring as seeing my students progress and fulfil their potential is so rewarding. I strive to help children find a love for learning and cater my tutor lessons specifically to each child's needs. I have also worked as a dance teacher for the past 5 years teaching students aged 4 - 16 additional to attending dance lessons myself each week. Currently I have availability for tutoring primary level Maths, English and GCSE Geography (AQA exam board experience).

I have always been drawn to the power of storytelling, and have nurtured this passion through my BA (Hons) in English Literature from the University of Exeter. I am a frequent writer of short fiction, creative non-fiction, and poetry and am currently studying for an MA in Creative Writing. For the past four years I have worked primarily as a private English tutor, with the majority of my students being GCSE and A-Level candidates. As a student myself I was lucky enough to have exceptional teachers and tutors who not only instilled their enthusiasm for the subject in me, but also gave me the confidence needed to achieve my full potential. These principles form the foundation of my own tutoring, and it is of vital importance to me that students feel they are obtaining valuable skills and knowledge which will serve them for life. Following the Covid-19 pandemic I sought to provide some stability and reassurance to students given the unprecedented disruption to their education and I feel very fortunate to say that I have supported them in achieving, and often exceeding, their target grades. Exam boards I have experience with include: AQA, Edexcel, OCR, & WJEC. I primarily teach secondary school students. Specialising in GCSE & A-Level. My SEND experience includes working with students who have Dyslexia, ADHD, and ASD.

Hello! I started tutoring at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. I have a background of Science and Anatomy. I can tutor English, maths, and science at primary school level, and maths up to year 9 - specialising in years 5 and 6 maths, and 11+ exam prep. I have a certificate to teach English as a foreign/second language, and I work with 11+ exam preparation. I am a member of MENSA and I incorporate my logical thinking into my teaching, which children find helpful because of 'step by step' techniques. I like to make our sessions as fun as possible, including games and lots of praise! If one teaching method isn't working, let’s try it a different way. I speak some German, so if you are a native German speaker wanting to learn English, I may be able to incorporate this into our sessions. I'm happy to help with any GCSE or A-level Human Biology or Anatomy questions! I am also very musical, I fluently play the ukulele and bass guitar, and I sing too. I am a member of the George Formby Society and regularly play in front of a live audience. I can help with any questions you might have regarding these instruments!

I have experience tutoring and preparing students for various examinations in Mathematics and Science. Exams such as, A level Exams, Edexcel entrance exams, GCSE, 11+, and Private School entry exam. My goal is to make these subjects engaging and accessible to all students, and to help each student reach their full potential.
