My name is Daniel and I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Nottingham. I study Economics which allows me to learn History and Maths as a result. Apart from my academic pursuit, I play a multitude of instruments in my spare time. I finished my GCSE's with nine 9s, one 8 and a 7 with 9s in Maths and Further Maths. Then I achieved A*AAA at A-Levels in the subjects: Further Maths, Maths, Economics and History. Currently I am in my first year of my undergraduate degree studying Economics at the University of Nottingham.

My name's Charlotte. In my personal life, you can find me mountain biking, kayaking, camping or generally anything outdoors- I love to challenge myself! I also have a Masters (MSc) degree in Applied Psychology (Psychological therapies) and a Bachelors (BSc) degree in Psychology. In addition, I am a Support Worker (p/t) in a hospital setting and have over 100 hours of experience working as a trainee counselling psychologist. This has allowed me to feel confident in supporting a wide range of individuals in empowering themselves to overcome difficulties. My academic experience includes writing reports, conducting research and analysing results. I also have practical experience working collaboratively with clients and planning sessions to work towards their identified goals. As a tutor, I feel my skills lend themselves to supporting children and young people with English Language and Literature. I am well versed in planning and structuring an assignment, critically analysing text and context, and presenting complex ideas in a clear, focused way. I am also able to contrast and compare a variety of different writing styles. My focus as a tutor is to provide gentle guidance to encourage students to begin to feel confident in their own skills. I will work collaboratively with the student/ parent to identify goals and seek feedback on progress in order to achieve the best outcomes.

I studied maths, physics and economics at A-level, and have continued using these skills throughout my degree. I have experience mentoring year 7 pupils whilst at school, helping them with their maths skills, and whilst at university continued to mentor new students to help make their transition to university as comfortable as possible!
