Hi! I am 4th year medical student currently studying at the University of Leicester. I am a tutor who will focus on where you feel your weak spots may be and help you build confidence in those areas. I always adapt to my students style of learning so they can get the most out of their sessions ! I teach GCSE Combined Science, Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I did my GCSEs with Edexcel but I am also very comfortable with other exam boards. I also teach A Level Biology and Chemistry. At A Level I took my Biology exam using AQA and Chemistry using OCR but , again, I am comfortable with other exam boards. A bit more about me - I really enjoy listening to music and like to explore my creativity by crocheting clothes. GCSE Results: SIX grade 9's (in all three sciences, RS, english lit and lang) , FOUR grade 8's. Hi! My name is Marina. I can tutor: English GSCE, Spanish GSCE, and Biology GSCE. I have extensive experience in tutoring and child care, and, having lived in the UK, USA, and Spain, am fluent in both the above languages. I believe in the potential of every teenager to enjoy learning, given the right approach—and tutoring is the perfect way to give your child an education tailored to their needs! I have a Bachelor's degree from King's College London in International Relations, and am coursing an MSc at the London School of Economics. I graduated from the International Baccalaureate at the top 10% of my cohort, with perfect marks in Biology. I also have 3 years of babysitting experience in Spanish and French, 1 year of tutoring children with learning disabilities, and 1 year of tutoring teenagers and adults in English and Spanish.

At Sixth Form I took the IB where I studied Spanish, biology and geography at a higher level and maths, English and environmental systems and societies at a standard level. All together I achieved 39 IB points. Throughout my studies I have frequently taken part in mentoring schemes, helping me to, not only help other students, but to also further my knowledge in the given subject. After Sixth Form I took a gap year in the hope of travel however COVID prevented me from doing so, so instead I worked in retail whilst reading in preparation for university. I am half Spanish and love to travel; my favourite excursions being the frequent visits to Spain to see my grandparents. My other hobbies include dancing (from the age of 4), going to the gym, crotchet and just generally spending time with my friends and family. University has provided me with a wealth of transferable skills, the most important of which is the ability to learn, teach and communicate remotely. I've discovered that there are numerous advantages to taking online classes, such as the efficiency, flexibility, and variety of lesson styles that can be used. The most important aspect of online teaching is engagement; lessons must be tailored to keep the target audience ’s attention.

I am a Maths GCSE tutor who has just finished A-levels and am going to the University of Manchester for Engineering. In addition to maths, I have completed my A-levels in Biology and Chemistry and so have the capacity to teach both. I look forward to both helping students ace their exams and having fun along the way! I have completed both my GCSEs and A-Levels at Simon Langton Grammar School. I achieved straight A grades in every subject at both of those levels. As a result I was accepted to study engineering at the University of Manchester.
