After 20 years of secondary school classroom teaching in English and History, I am branching out into online teaching. I taught in London, at Walthamstow for my probationary year in 1991, and have since taught in South Africa, in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. I run Parkrun, grow and sell organic vegetables, and enjoy wilderness walking. After A Bachelor of Arts in History and English, at Wits University in Johannesburg in 1984, I did a postgraduate Higher Diploma in Education, in English and History. I then taught in London and South Africa for nine years, during which time I qualified with a Bachelor of Education in Applied Linguistics, from Wits University. In 1998, my family and I went to Vancouver, British Columbia, for me to study a Masters Degree in Theology. We returned to SA in 2002. In 2016, I graduated with a PhD in History, at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. I am currently enrolled for my TTA TEFL certificate, Level 5, to qualify and teach EFL, from April 2025.

With a bubbly personality, I enjoy letting my curiosity lead me to new places and people every time I take a break from science. I have 3 years of experience with: exam preparation and primary school. I am a recent graduate from The University of Manchester, and I studied Physics (Programme Title: BSc (Hons) Physics). I was a Bronze Medal recipient in the National Physics Olympiad (Romania, 2017). My biggest strength in tutoring is tailoring a lesson according to the student's learning style, as I was trained to recognize and approach all the different types of intelligence.

I am a positive, energetic and knowledgeable teacher who seeks to help every single one of my students. My goal every day is to have an impact on young individuals. I am also hard-working and driven and mostly not afraid to face a challenge. I'm passionate about my work and I know how to get the job done correctly . I would describe myself as an open and honest person. I have obtained 11 GCSEs (all grade 9-6). I have 3 A - levels in Biology, Chemistry and History (AAA) Biomedical Sciences with Honours degree - Graduated June 2024 Currently studying a teaching degree (PGCE science with Biology - Will graduate July 2025) I speak 2 languages fluently, Arabic and English.

I teach Trigonometry and Geometry. I also conduct lectures for Mechanical engineering students so I can teach engineering related physics such as mechanics, dynamics, kinematics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer. Preferred age group: KS3, College/University level Languages: I am fluent in English and I can speak a little Japanese. My background: I am a practicing Mechanical Engineer and I have University lecturing experience. More than theoretical concepts, I can also cover practical problems applying the use of math, physics, or combined STEM subjects. Hobbies: I like sports, gaming, charcoal painting, and anime. I am an enthusiast of VR technology and I actively play VR games in my Quest 2 VR console. I am a relaxed and fun teacher. I believe that learning should be fun and a student should not be under strict pressure all the time. For me, learning is a two-way communication process, I need to understand the student first before the student can understand my lesson. I create interactive learning activities and I find ways to make learning easier for every student. Lastly, I guide students to reach their learning goals and further equip them with knowledge that will be useful for their future career. I have a diploma in Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. I studied my degree in Bulacan State University. I passed the Licensure Exam for Mechanical Engineering and I am currently a practicing Licensed Mechanical Engineer. I worked as a Technical Service Engineer in Copeland(Emerson) for over two years. I honed my critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills in this job. I also lectured in the College of Engineering of Bulacan State University for more than 2 years. I taught engineering courses and applied the concepts of various STEM subjects such as physics, algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and calculus.
