I'm Joe and I'm an undergraduate Computer Science student at the University of Birmingham. Along side studying for my degree, I enjoy learning languages, such as Catalan, in the hopes of travelling the world in the future. Likewise, I have a passion for baking (although I don't always get the time) as it's a great way to keep busy and getting some delicious food! I always struggled in school, often being below average at most subjects and not understanding concepts. When I got to GCSE level, my maths teacher made everything so much clearer when she explained things and I quickly began to rise in knowledge. She made me realise how important it is to have someone who is patient and will help you to understand any concept you're struggling with. I have GCSE qualifications in: Maths, Further Maths, English Literature, English Language, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Spanish, and Business Studies. I went on to study A levels at the same school and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience, studying: Maths, Physics, Computer Science, and Spanish. I'm now studying an Integrated Master's degree of Computer Science at the University of Birmingham.

I am a PhD research scholar at the University of Nottingham. My research mainly deals with Maths and Physics. I love learning and teaching. I believe understanding the basic concept is very important while studying Maths and Physics. I was teaching as Assistant Professor in a private university before joining my PhD at UoN. I have more than 2 years of teaching experience. I have always received very good feedback from my students. I believe in explaining the basics to students in an easy and friendly manner. I explain the numerical problems in maths and physics by correlating them to real-world situations so that the students can picture the situation in their minds. I have scored 97 percentage in Physics and 91 percentage in maths in my high school. After my PhD, I am looking to take teaching as a full-time career. Hi there! My name is Kristy Largo. You can address me as Ms. Largo. I have been an elementary, middle, and high school math teacher for approximately 19 years. The Philippines, where I was born and raised, has pleasant beaches with clear blue water. I came to the US to experience different cultures and to expand my professional knowledge by teaching abroad. I struggled with math when I was in elementary and high school, but I became a math teacher because I was influenced by an incredible teacher in the past and promised myself that, when I became a teacher, I would teach with empathy using a combination of fun and engaging activities. I graduated with honors in Economics from Bukidnon State University, Philippines. I earned my Master's in Special Education from Cebu Normal University and am currently pursuing my Doctoral Program at Cebu Technological University. I also completed Autism Added Authorization from UMass Global, the CTEL online program from the University of San Diego, and additional Autism Added Authorization at the University of Massachusetts, Walnut Creek.
