Hi, I’m Dos, an ESL teacher with a TEFL certification and a background in Business Administration. While teaching is my passion, my hobbies play a huge role in shaping who I am and how I connect with others. I’m an avid traveler and love immersing myself in different cultures. Whether it’s exploring bustling cities or peaceful countryside, every journey inspires me and often gives me ideas to make my lessons more engaging. Photography is another passion of mine—I enjoy capturing unique perspectives, especially during my travels. It’s not just about taking pictures; it’s about storytelling and finding beauty in the ordinary. I’m also a fan of trying new things in the kitchen, experimenting with international recipes. Cooking is both a creative outlet and a way to experience the world from home. Beyond that, I enjoy hiking and being outdoors. There’s something revitalizing about being in nature, and it helps me stay energized for both my personal life and my teaching. These hobbies not only bring me joy but also help me relate better to my students, as I often draw on my experiences to make lessons more relatable and engaging. I am a recent graduate of a Bachelor's degree with honours in English Literature from Queen Mary University of London. I greatly appreciate that the ability to have a strong grip over the English language and how it can be utilisied in story telling to help us understand our own contexts and lives is a uniquely important skill. I have been aiding students from KS3 level to GCSE whilst undertaking my own studies. My highest education is my BA (Hons) from Queen Mary University of London in English, completing the course with a 2:1. I have always chanelled most of my academic abilities into English related subjects, at both GCSE and A-Level, English language or literature were my highest achieved grades. Whilst at university i focussed on modernist writing, culminating in my dissertation taking focus on James Joyce's epic novel Ulysses, taking an in depth look into how he brought Dublin through to the 21st century by implementing technological language into his first and third person writing.

I find a lot of joy in volunteering, advocating for human rights, and writing, therefore transferred to Political Science after my first year!
