Hello, my name is Helen and I have a BA degree in Criminal Justice Studies from Bradford University. The degree's main subjects were Criminal Law, Psychology, and Forensic Science. My hobbies include watching football, playing tennis, reading, and walking my dog. I have been an online tutor for 3 years. I have taught as an ESL tutor. During this time I have taught people of various ages and abilities. I create a positive learning environment. I personalize learning and create lessons that respond to students' interests. I equip students with the confidence and skills needed to incorporate technology into English language classrooms and for future jobs and life in general. I regularly assess the progress, strengths, and weaknesses of my students and by doing this, I help them fill gaps in their knowledge and learn best. I have a TEFL certificate worth 120 hours of study. I also hold GCSEs at grade C or above including English and Maths. I also have 4 A - levels including History and Geography and a degree, which I finished in 2003. I celebrated graduating by going to the US.

I am currently working on a dissertation topic looking at active learning techniques and I am very enthusiastic to bring these methods to life and bring out your best potential. Science is the best subject to implement different learning techniques like lab practicals, active recall and understanding topics at a cellular level. During holidays I like to travel to countries like Kenya and Tanzania to see the wildlife and beaches, my favourite city is Mombassa. Hope to hear from you too! I teach Biology and Chemistry at GCSE level and Biology A level. I'm a final-year Physiology student at the University of Aberdeen.
