ABOUT ME I have a deep interest in history, human and physical geography, anthropology, technology, architecture and engineering. I especially enjoy the history and geography of languages and language families. I am a keen traveller, audiophile and technophile, with a love for all kinds of technologies, analogue and digital, new and old. Thanks to COVID I learnt a lot of DIY skills through necessity. My house also has a garden full of fruit trees, so I guess that would make me an amateur gardener by default. I try to keep fit by cycling when possible, but my favourite sport is swimming. TEACHING EXPERIENCE/PREFERENCES The subjects I teach are History, English Literature and Language for GCSE and A-level, as well as EFL/ESL English. I tend to teach students aged 14+, so from Year 9 to Year 13 or older, but I do have a few students younger than this. I use a variety of teaching approaches, ranging from traditional methods of text analysis to modern forms of teaching, such as interactive quizzes, questionnaires and even YouTube videos if they benefit the students learning style. Exam Board Experience: AQA, Edexcel and OCR in the main. WJEC/Eduqas to a lesser extent. Languages:- English: as a first language to advanced level. Turkish: fluent to college level.

Hi, my name is Ademola Oguntoyinbo and I am a 2nd year medical student at the University of Manchester. I've always had a great interest in Chemistry, Biology and Maths and have a strong desire to share my knowledge with others. My favourite hobbies include watching football, playing sports and learning new languages. I'm available to tutor Maths GCSE (Edexcel), Biology A-Level (SNAB) /GCSE (OCR) and Chemistry A-Level/GCSE (OCR) Enrolled in the Medicine degree program at the University of Manchester, I bring a robust academic background and a fervour for the sciences. Achieving 3 A*s in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology at A-level, I demonstrated a profound understanding of key subjects integral to my chosen field. My commitment to the biological sciences was further acknowledged with the receipt of a Salters' Award for A-level Biology, highlighting my dedication to mastering intricate concepts and contributing to the field's advancements.

Many of these key skills in teaching have been gained through experience in part-time work as a volunteer assistant teacher, educational programs, and personal projects, while also picking up many skills from my parents given they are also teachers. I am Currently learning Spanish and Arabic and have recently taken up indoor climbing and in particular bouldering as a hobby. I enjoy reading and researching about not only topics associated with Chemical Engineering but on many different subjects, from geography to psychology, particularly through attending seminars and creating strong relationships with those from other disciplines. I enjoy travel and experiencing different cultures. Having travelled to Russia, North America, and Europe. Recently travelled to Geneva to take a guided tour round CERN, observe the LHC and converse with many leading minds at the forefront of scientific discovery. Completed 10 GCSE's including Maths, English and Sciences at Langley Secondary School, Solilhull Achieved 3 A levels in Maths, Chemistry and Physics from Solihull Sixth Form College Will graduate with a First Class MEng degree in chemical engineering in July 2025 from the University of Hull

English GCSE - year 10&11 only Russian all levels I am an enthusiastic and devoted tutor. I am aware of different challenges that students face and I develop different strategies to help them to overcome them. There isn’t always an opportunity for students to ask questions and receive a lot of personal attention in the school classrooms, so I always encourage students to explain to me what they struggle with the most and which areas make the least sense, so they don’t go back to their school lessons still feeling confused and worried that they don’t understand something. In addition, I encourage them to think and analyse, I try to avoid giving answers, instead I help students find them themselves. I believe it’s such an important life skill. I consider each student’s strengths and weaknesses. I always strive to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere in my online classroom. I build my relationship with everyone on mutual respect and trust. I prefer when students see me as a mentor, rather than a teacher, and I call our meetings “sessions”, rather than “lessons”.
