Hi! I'm Nuha, a second year medical student. With my understanding of medical sciences, I can offer you engaging and insightful lessons. Committed to creating a supportive learning environment, I aim to instill both knowledge and a love for science. I went from a grade 4 in Chemistry to achieving an 8 in my GCSES and would love to share the techniques which allowed me to make this progress. Further, I was head girl of my secondary school and bring leadership and organisational skills to my tutoring to ensure a structured and effective learning experience. My personable approach creates a comfortable space for students, fostering open communication and making the learning journey enjoyable. About me: I'm a recent university graduate trying to find my place in the world. I have worked in a sixth form college where I cultivated my love for teaching and learning, as well as supporting young people in complex situations thorugh their education. I know what it's like to be an outsider; I'm neurodivergent and I lived in France for six months as a part of my degree. I want to help others who feel as though they don't fit in to have success and joy in what they do. I have a ton of hobbies, more than I can really keep up with, including: creative writing, reading, crochet, video gaming, dungeons and dragons, digital art, video editing, singing - and these are just the ones I'm focusing on at the moment!

If you are looking for a patient, experienced and caring tutor, who can guide a pupil through their learning barriers, then I fit the bill. With eighteen years of English teaching experience within the classrooms of England I have a good working knowledge of how to help your child develop. Having been a single mom of four children I also know the practical side of life and raising a family.

I am available to take on regular students on Mondays 10am and 4pm and Tuesdays between the hours of 9am and 2pm. Currently not taking on French, ESL or adult students. Availability for trials only if students can continue during the following hours and days:- Monday and Tuesday between 8am and 4pm. I do not work Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays. I am passionate about working with children and young people and have done this for over 17 years working in schools, social services and charities. I have worked with children and young people experiencing homelessness, in local authority care, and who are receiving weekly support from different organisations. I have also worked with families whose children are home educated and world schooled. I love nothing more than seeing children and young people's confidence increase as they learn new skills and information. I also have over 17 years experience working with children, young people and adults with learning difficulties/learning disabilities/disabilities/additional needs ranging from ADHD to ASD to global development delay and understand the need to adapt tutoring accordingly dependent on the individual's needs and making them feel as comfortable and at ease as much as possible. I am currently worldschooling my 12 year old son so I could be anywhere in the world as I'm tutoring as we travel. I tutor the following subjects and levels: English (from nursery to year 9) Welsh (from nursery to GCSE), History (from nursery to GCSE), Religious Studies (from nursery to GCSE), French (from nursery to GCSE) All of the above subjects were my favourite subjects in school. Mathematics (primary school age - in English and Welsh; Years 7-9 in English only) Geography (nursery to year 9) Science (primary school age - in English and Welsh, Years 7-9 in English only) The exam boards I can support with are Wjec, AQA and Igcse I am also happy to tutor students who are learning English and Welsh and want to improve their skills with a native speaker. I tutor 11+ and help prepare students for the 11+ exam. I tutor functional skills Level 1 and 2. I can also tutor through the medium of Welsh as I am a native Welsh speaker and completed all my education through the medium of Welsh. I can also tutor English as a second and/or foreign language to children and young people (ESL/EFL) when they are B2 or higher. Due to my professional and academic background in health and social care I am excited about providing tutoring at GCSE level and higher in Health and Social Care also. I enjoy exam preparation work and adapt how I tutor dependent on the needs of the student. A bit about me, I love travelling, spending time with my children and grandchild, learning about other cultures, Netflix binges, reading (I am a huge bookworm) and enjoy keeping fit. I love dance-I am an ex-dancemum as my daughter was a passionate dancer from a young age and I used to own a dance workshop business bringing choreographers from abroad to the UK. I am a very patient, kind and caring person and will try my best to make sure that any student is happy with how I work and if they aren't I will adapt my ways to suit them as they are the ones that need to benefit from it and if something I am doing doesn't work then I will try different ways until they are happy. I am a firm believer in letting children and young people lead the session even if I am working on specific topics but I keep them focused on the task at hand too. If there are available slots showing in evenings I start my lessons on the hour to maximise my available time for other students and would appreciate that if any bookings are made independently that they are booked following this time to be fair to as many students as possible. This is my full time role therefore you can be certain that I will not be providing supply tutors due to me being unavailable except for times of sickness and I do try and ensure that any supply tutor is the same one each time to provide consistency.
