I am a Law graduate training to become a barrister, with a particular persuasion to Human Rights Law. My commitments to social justice and contributing to the tangible progress of my community, mark my aspirations as both a tutor and barrister-to-be. As a conscientious tutor, I seek to inspire an interest in the education I deliver. Through carefully tailored and creative teaching, I aim to empower student development. Perhaps as a by-product of my legal profession, I like to play devil's advocate by challenging and pushing students to grow confidence in their independent skills whilst simultaneously nurturing their understanding with warm guidance and friendly support. More an advocate and less a devil!

I was born in Norwich, England and completed my schooling in South Africa. I have a passion for teaching and I believe that we are capable of learning so much more when we are enjoying ourselves. I have a clear and easily understood accent and I cannot wait to meet you in the classroom where pronunciation, good grades and fun are the name of the game. I enjoy helping children overcome difficulties with speech and interpretation of the English language. I am qualified to teach English children(TEFL) and adults (CELTA). I have completed more than 7,000 practical lessons or 2,500 hours of teaching students online. I have 5 years worth of informal face-to-face teaching in a SundaySchool classroom. I have 20 years worth of experience training adults in the telecommunications sector. I successfully completed my first year of teachers training in 1979 and had to stop due to ill health.

Hi there! My name is Kristy Largo. You can address me as Ms. Largo. I have been an elementary, middle, and high school math teacher for approximately 19 years. The Philippines, where I was born and raised, has pleasant beaches with clear blue water. I came to the US to experience different cultures and to expand my professional knowledge by teaching abroad. I struggled with math when I was in elementary and high school, but I became a math teacher because I was influenced by an incredible teacher in the past and promised myself that, when I became a teacher, I would teach with empathy using a combination of fun and engaging activities. I graduated with honors in Economics from Bukidnon State University, Philippines. I earned my Master's in Special Education from Cebu Normal University and am currently pursuing my Doctoral Program at Cebu Technological University. I also completed Autism Added Authorization from UMass Global, the CTEL online program from the University of San Diego, and additional Autism Added Authorization at the University of Massachusetts, Walnut Creek. I have 19+ years of teaching experience in Math across elementary, middle, and high school to students with diverse learning disabilities at Antioch Unified School District in the Bay Area.

I enjoy DIY projects and making stuff from scratch. From cookies to shampoo, I like to experiment and see what works. I've recently started to sew some projects and crochet! I have been a private tutor in Spain since 2016 to students from the equivalent to 9º GSCE to first year undergraduates. My strongest subjects are, without a doubt, on the science branch. I have studied Physics in Seville, spent an Erasmus in Pavia (Italy) and organized and participated in the first student congress of my faculty (CEFIMUS). I have a C1 in English and learned Italian during my stay abroad. My focus when I teach is on providing a welcoming environment where the student can feel free to explore and question what is taught so that natural curiosity can develop and he/she leaves the class with more confidence and autonomy.
