When I am not working in my local high school, I enjoy volunteering and organising charity events, as well as doing any sort of craft. I tutor English Language, English Literature and Maths. I have been tutoring since I finished university and I really enjoy it. In between tutoring I write my own poetry and bake cakes to relax. I like making my lessons fun and enjoyable, focusing on what the pupils want to gain and adapt accordingly. I am incredibly patient and will explain ideas as many times as needed to ensure students understand. I want my lessons into be sessions students look forward to in order to gain the most from them.

I have a massive passion for teaching and I love to help students excel in all subjects. Even though English isn’t a large part of my degree , it is a subject I hold close to my heart and would love to impart my knowledge and techniques to other students to help them achieve those top grades. I also love science and believe I can help students excel academically in biology and chemistry.My main hobbies include reading , baking and I love to baby sit family members when I have the time ! Hi! My name is Aurora and I am a postgraduate student at the University of Manchester, studying a Masters in Development Economics. I am originally from Italy, but I moved to the UK when I was 16 and sat both my GCSEs and A Levels in London. In my GCSEs I achieved 8 A* and 4 A grades. These were the second-highest results in my cohort, despite the fact I had only been living in England for two years before sitting my exams. At sixth form, I taught myself French A Level in just one year and achieved an A grade, the highest grade in my class. I have always found learning languages an extremely rewarding, albeit sometimes frustrating process. Although languages open up doors to new ways of thinking and seeing the world around you, grasping the different aspects of a language, such as its grammar, can be demoralising. And that’s what I am here for - as a fellow language learner, I can empathise with the difficulties of this process and will do my best to make it as smooth and fun as possible. Furthermore, as a foreigner who has been through the UK education system, I am able to advise those in similar positions and facing similar challenges. Students learn in different ways, so I will adapt our lessons depending on your preferred learning style. During the introductory lesson, I will ask you questions in order to determine how you study, and your responses will shape the way I plan our future sessions. I will also be interested to know the topics you are struggling the most with, in order to give me a clearer idea of the areas I should focus on. I look forward to hearing from you!
