Hi! I am a second year studying Biology and Economics at the University of Exeter. I completed Maths, Biology, and Economics A-Level and received 3 A*'s. I am a very chatty character that loves working with younger children. I have a creative mind and love finding new ways to make learning more fun. I prefer teaching 11+ and 13+ exams and can also tutor up to maths GCSE. I have volunteered as a tutor before and skyped children in Kenya to teach them basic Maths and English. This sparked my passion for teaching, I really enjoy getting to know my students and learning about their different hobbies and I will try to incorporate this into my lesson time to make it even more fun!

Lower level- Maths, biology and chemistry GCSE- Maths, biology and chemistry A-level- Biology and Chemistry About me: I am in my final year studying Biochemistry at University of Birmingham and I will be attending Imperial College London in September to continue my studies toward a masters degree in applied biosciences and biotechnology. I am a very ambitious student always eager to learn and share my knowledge with others. Over the years I have built up many skills that have enabled me to become a good tutor. I am a positive person, very organised with an in depth knowledge about my subjects. I am adaptable and can cater to all students of all levels with previous experience in tutoring my friends and family over the years. My sister is currently doing GCSE in all three subjects so I am aware about the exam curriculums and have a lot of practice with exam style questions. I also enjoy to spend time with children as I previously used to volunteer for my local scout association where I would teach the children new skills in order to acquire their badges.

I graduated with a master's degree in Mathematics three months ago. I chose that field because I have always been passionate about numbers and enjoy discussing them. I have two years of experience tutoring mathematics at a university. During this time, I also worked in the departmental exam board meetings to review and assess students' performance against set standards and provide feedback.

GCSE: At GCSE level, I can teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Exam board experience: I have teaching experience in AQA and Edexcel. Preferred student age group: My preferred age group is GCSE students, as I have the most experience teaching students at this level. About me: I am very passionate about science and love to share my passion by tutoring, writing articles for my university science magazine, and being part of many scientific societies. Outside of academia, I love cooking, rock climbing, and horse riding. GCSEs: I completed 9 GCSEs overall, receiving a 9 in Biology, a 9 in Chemistry, a 9 in Physics, and an 8 in Maths. Beyond the STEM subjects, I received a 9 in Theology, an 8 in Drama, an 8 in Spanish, a 7 in English Literature, and a 6 in English Language. A-Levels: In my A-Levels, I received an A* in Biology, an A* in Psychology, and an A in Chemistry. During this time, I also completed a Spanish Diploma at a B1 level. In Year 13, I was selected to be the Chemistry Prefect due to being one of the top Chemistry students in my year group. Undergraduate degree: I am currently a 2nd year Biochemistry student at King's College London and anticipated to receive First after my performance in my 1st year exams and coursework. During this time, I was a PAL leader. This role encompassed leading workshops on exam techniques, study skills, and challenging topics within a Biochemistry degree. Tutoring experience: I have been tutoring for three years, including volunteer tutoring for students who have been unable to attend school. I focus on developing personalised and engaging lessons. It is important to me to help students understand the topics I cover and apply what they have learned in the context of exam questions, thereby enhancing their confidence in exams. The students I am experienced in tutoring are GCSE and A-Level students. I also mentored and assisted students during my Chemistry Prefect and PAL leader tenure, which further enhanced my teaching abilities.
