My name is Fay and I am an English tutor here at GoStudent. I'm an English Literature and Creative Writing major at university. I equally love both Maths and English, but ultimately decided to go down the English route, however I am still perfectly happy to tutor Maths up to GCSE level, and English up to A-Level. I have quite a few things I enjoy doing, such as reading, writing and painting on my spare time.

I'm a medical student with 8+ years tutoring (A level / GCSE,). My expertise in chemistry / biology / maths. I have lots of experience in teaching humanity subjects such as English, sociology, and history. * Only AS chemistry and maths * I teach students at varying levels so it's important to adapt and adjust accordingly. If you're a visual learner, let's draw. If you're an auditory learner, let's discuss. If you're a note taker, let's learn the best note taking method for you! I do, however, encourage all my students to engage in spaced repetition learning. Whether we schedule that in during our sessions or if we use anki, this is probably the most important method of retaining information.

PREFERRED STUDENT AGE RANGE: 11-16 / KS3 & KS4 ABOUT ME: I was a full time secondary school Maths teacher at Llantwit Major School for 3 years. I learned a lot during this time, about teaching and about myself. I learned that my strength is teaching to small groups of people, or even better 1 on 1. This lead me to becoming a tutor with GoStudent. I have good experience with online teaching thanks to lockdowns in response to covid-19.

I am an English and Spanish teacher who encourages students to think critically and creatively. I believe that students learn and develop at different rates and in different ways. In this regard, I have a strong desire to transmit the knowledge I have acquired through my experiences to students. In my free time I love doing horse riding and ceramics.
