About me

Hi everyone! I am Rifah, a current first year medical student. I have already gained a bachelor's and a master's degree in the field of science, so it is safe to assume that I enjoy learning all things scientific! I also enjoy teaching science (and maths) which is why I have been tutoring both subjects for the past 6 years. I have experience tutoring one-to-one but also in a small class setting, where an actual classroom teaching is mimicked. However, during my one-to-one lessons I like to focus on my individual's student's needs and weakness, tailoring my help to what is the most beneficial for them. This is why I always ask for feedback from my students, and incorporate their ideas in my lesson to make it more engaging and fun. Nevertheless, I ensure that we cover all basis for what is n...

Hi, I’m JJ, an experienced and passionate tutor who’s been helping students reach their academic goals since 2021. I specialize in guiding students through their 11+, GCSE, and A-level exams, tailoring lessons to fit their needs and ensuring they feel confident and well-prepared. Whether it's taking a student struggling with maths and helping them pass, or pushing someone to achieve even higher grades than before, I’m here to make a difference. As a Master’s graduate in Aeronautical Engineering, I’ve developed strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of complex subjects, which I bring into my teaching. My engineering background helps me break down tricky topics into simpler, more approachable concepts that my students can grasp. I also have a proven track record of working with students of all abilities, including those with learning difficulties like dyslexia, autism, and ADHD. I focus on making lessons engaging, supportive, and flexible, so every student can thrive. My goal isn’t just to help with exam prep, but to inspire a love for learning and help students build the confidence they need to succeed. The most rewarding part of tutoring for me? That moment when a student calls on results day, thrilled with their achievements. Knowing I’ve played a part in helping them get there is what motivates me the most. If you’re looking for a tutor who’s committed to helping you reach your full potential, I’d love to work with you! Hi! I am a music student studying at the University of Manchester. However, I achieved an A* in A level Maths and have experience in maths tutoring. I take a communicative approach when tutoring; asking the students to explain their thinking so I can better understand any gaps in their knowledge. Despite my lessons costing you anywhere from £21.99-£30.50 for the 50 minutes, I recieve £13 either way with GoStudent taking 41%-57%. I have experience with tutoring for GCSE AQA exam boards and A Level OCR exam boards. Furthermore, whenever I meet a new student I will be sure to ask which exam board they are learning and research the spec and some practise papers in preparation for our lessons.
