I’m a Biomedical Science student at Lancaster University looking to tutor as a first step towards a teaching career. I have three younger sisters that have definitely taught me the value of patience. Despite my scientific background I spend most of my spare time reading, and doing arts and crafts. I have A levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology at st. Edwards college, where I also completed my GCSEs, I currently attend Lancaster University, studying a Biomedical Science bachelors degree. My specialisations would be Biology and Psychology.

I’m currently studying sociology at the University of the West of England in Bristol to become a teacher of sociology in the future! I love music- especially dance music- as well as animals (definitely a dog person!) and nature. My free time is usually spent going out with friends, playing video games, and going on walks. I am currently studying at UWE Bristol. Prior to this I studied at KLB at A-Level and GCSE. I have A-Level qualifications in sociology, psychology, and English literature. During my gap year I spent time working at my old secondary school/sixth form and have a year’s experience in tutoring both 1 on 1 and in small groups

Hi there! I'm Glaiza, and I'm deeply passionate about education and inspiring young minds. As an English teacher, I believe that learning transcends beyond textbooks—it's about fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a genuine love for knowledge. My goal is to create a positive and engaging environment where students feel encouraged to learn, explore, and grow both academically and personally. I'm committed to making learning meaningful and enjoyable, and I'm excited to make a lasting impact on my students' lives. In my free time, I love to read books, bake delicious treats, and go for morning jogs, which keep me energized and inspired throughout the day. I hold a degree in Elementary Education with a major in General Education, which has given me a solid foundation in teaching methods and linguistics. My studies have equipped me to plan captivating lessons, manage classrooms efficiently, and adapt my teaching strategies to cater to various learning styles. I am dedicated to ensuring that every student feels encouraged, empowered, and excited to learn.

I have been tutoring with GoStudent for almost a year now, having formerly worked at museums, churches and summer camps. I enjoy working with children and am a current Sunday-School teacher and former volunteer with several youth charities. I also have two years of classroom experience with Years 2 and 3, but am happy to work with children of any age, teaching English, Maths, History, Latin, and RE. Please note I do not take adult learners at this time. I am a graduate of the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree in History, also having taken papers in Classics and Theology. I won several prizes during my degree, including three prize scholarships and the Roy Porter Prize for History in my second year. Prior to my degree, I took three A-Levels in History, Maths and English, receiving all A*s, and prior to that, ten GCSEs, receiving all 9s.
