Hi, I'm Mona! A little about me; I tutor Primary and GCSE-level students in English. Right now, I'm more focused on GCSE students. I have in-depth knowledge in English literature from Shakespearean plays like Macbeth to War and Conflict Poems, and more. I'm fluent in English, write a lot, and I absolutely love creative writing so that comes in handy when guiding students through revision for the English Language Paper. I'm also familiar with exam boards such as AQA, Edexcel, and Eduqas. What I love most about my tutoring sessions is that from the onset, my students and I try to make learning not feel like a chore. We strive to not only achieve the educational goals we set out but we make it so that the main objective is to learn and understand, not just pass a test. I'm open-minded and firmly believe there is no such thing as a person who can't be taught. Each student is different from the next and all anyone really needs is the right kind of guidance. I am currently in University for my Bachelor's but I graduated from the equivalent of UK A-Levels with honours. My curriculum was English, Arts, and Humanities-centered so I had subjects such as Media and Information Literacy, Research Writing, Creative Fiction and Non-Fiction, Contemporary Art, etc. I used to write for a travel blog and was the assistant to the managerial editor of a newspaper company so I proofread, edited, and wrote articles a lot.

I study Biomedical Science and am hoping to get into medical research and diagnostics soon! Apart from academics, I love rock music, gaming, reading and am a trained Indian Classical and Contemporary dancer! I am a third year Biomedical science student at Aston University and am hoping to get into medical research. At the moment I am completing my placement year in the NHS to gain registration as a biomedical scientist! At A-level, I studied Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology. At GCSE level, I studied triple science so have knowledge of that curriculum too.

I am a free thinker , love to teach science and learn new things. I have a flexible style of teaching that can cater to all students and their abilities. Preferred student age group: All age groups. My name is Marian, I am a Doctor with a solid foundation in science. I am competent at tutoring pupils in the Irish educational system up to the Leaving Certificate. As a tutor, I've always felt driven to go above and beyond the curriculum's standards to make sure the student thoroughly understands the material. In order to assist the students, I want to first earn their trust by showing them that I have their best interests at heart. I then want to work really hard with them, urge them to give their all, and ensure that they remain motivated throughout. In my classes, I make sure that the lesson is first clearly explained to the students, beginning with the basics and making sure they understand it. From there, I build on that knowledge but most importantly, a foundation should be built. Finally, I give the student an opportunity to explain back to me and switch roles, pretending to be the teacher and teaching me what was learned. The pupils will be offered enjoyable quizzes or games related to the topics taught to help them relax and stop feeling like learning something new is a chore in order to better reinforce the knowledge they have already acquired. The subjects won't be covered only once. It will be explained in class and then summarized at the end. The first few minutes of the following lesson will be used to review what was previously taught. The third time will follow a few weeks later to help with memory recall. There will also be constant reference to earlier lessons if the topics are connected. I have a thorough understanding of the Irish leaving certificate curriculum, not just because I went through it myself, but also because of my experience tutoring students of all ages, particularly junior and leaving certificate students for the past four years. As a result, I have knowledge of the subjects and crucial exam tips, specifically by going over past exam papers with students. Any kid I have taught has experienced a significant increase in their grades from the beginning of the year to the end. I anticipate at least a two-grade improvement for every student who works with me. whenever I provide tests. To give students a realistic rating, I do my best to grade them in accordance with the standards of the junior/leaving certificate. Throughout the classes, these marking criteria will be applied to identify improvements that are also realistic. Because I am very organized in terms of what is required for the lesson and all the materials that will be utilized, delivering tutoring online has never been an issue for me or my pupils. I make an effort to keep the experience as similar as possible to in-person tuition. I will stay in touch with the parents on a regular basis to address any worries they might have, any observations I might have about the student, and to keep them informed about the classes.
