Outside of teaching and studying, I’m someone who loves exploring the world in every sense. I love to travel, always looking for the next hidden city street, quiet coastal path, or mountain trail to wander. I love experiences that spark curiosity and offer new perspectives, which are some qualities I bring into my lessons, too. I’m also a keen reader and lifelong learner, with a love for books on psychology, inclusive education, and modern fiction. To stay active, I enjoy yoga and long walks, which help me recharge and stay mindful, and I’m always up for trying new creative outlets, whether that’s experimenting with photography, cooking dishes from around the world, or learning a new skill just for fun. Music is another big part of my life; I love discovering new artists and curating playlists for different moods and adventures. These interests not only keep life exciting but also influence the way I connect with students: by staying curious, open-minded, and passionate about learning in all its forms. My name is Ellie, and I am a student at Newcastle University. Despite studying Accounting and Finance, I still love all things English and Maths. Whether I'm doing cryptic crosswords or sudokus, I believe that challenging your brain is the most entertaining activity. I am currently attending Newcastle University studying Accounting and Finance. I completed my A-levels at King Edward VI School in Morpeth, where I achieved ABB. I completed my GCSEs at The Blyth Academy, where I achieved 5 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s, and 2 grade 7s.

Educational background: Bachelor of Education and Honours in Education Experience: 9 years teaching experience My passion is education and I spend a lot of my time learning, improving myself as well as my professional development. I worked towards an undergraduate education degree where I qualified as a an educator, specialising in English. After working a year, I decided to apply for a part-time postgraduate degree in education, where I focused on learning about inclusive education and educational psychology. I also wrote a research paper about improving teaching strategies in the classroom. After deciding to move to France, I then took a course for how to teach English online to all age groups, from young children to adults. I also completed an advanced grammar and business English course. Currently, I'm teaching Cambridge English to young children and teenagers. I help students prepare for IGCES, GCSES and A levels. I also teach ESL to all age groups. At the moment, I am learning French and I'm currently on a B1 level in my language development.
