Hello, I'm Susan and I tutor chemistry and maths up to GCSE level. I am currently a first-year engineering student. I studied chemistry, physics and maths at a level before taking a gap year. When I'm not buried in uni work, you’d probably find me reading a book, playing some netball or trying to pick up a new hobby. I am currently a first year Chemical Engineering student. At a level I studied Chemistry (AQA), Physics (AQA) and Maths (Edexcel).I have a good understanding of both maths and chemistry and have had informal experience tutoring younger students during chemistry and maths drop in sessions.

I am a current medical student at the University of York, with a passion for Biology and Chemistry, after being on track to achieve an E in Chemistry but ending up with an A I know first hand the value of the strong, co-operative and patient teaching that can benefit students grade outcomes. Due to being a current medical studnet I can also tailor my advice and teaching strategies to those who are seeking a carreer in healthcare. I have a particular interest in Neuroscience which I was able to explore in significant depth during my EPQ on the effects of hallucinogenic drugs and hallucinations on the brain and its neuroanatomy. I have experience volunteering within a school as well as private tuition and volunteering at an assisted living home for adults with complex learning difficulties. I have developed the skills nececssary to adapt my communication to suit the needs of the individual in order to develop the rapport that is vital for a strong student-teacher relationship.

I am a 2nd year Biomedical Science student currently studying at Keele University, and I am looking forward to applying for Medicine. I tutor GCSE Maths and A-Level Biology, with GCSE Science on occasion. During my A-Levels and after, I tutored students from Year 7 to Year 11. This allowed me to be aware of the latest curriculum of each subject and I understand the importance of this as this is one of the ways to achieve success. I completed my A-Levels (Chemistry, Maths, and Biology) in 2020 achieving AAB grades respectively. I am currently an undergraduate Biomedical Science student, aiming to pursue Medicine as my career. I have tutored GCSE Maths and Science for around 4 years and A-Level biology for over a year now. I am willing to teach students and help them score highest marks to achieve their future goals.
