I am an undergraduate student, studying English at University of Nottingham. I have experience with both young children and teenagers, and enjoy both making learning fun, and helping young people meet their full potential! I'm friendly and proactive, and have experience working with children with a variety of needs. Most importantly, I believe learning should be suited to the student, not the teacher! I enjoy writing during my free-time, particularly for Nottingham's student publication, and working with young people - whether through sports teams, after-school clubs, or tutoring. I studied at a state comprehensive school in London, where I achieved 10 A*'s-B's at GCSE - including a B in Maths, A's in Science, and A's in both English Language and Literature - and A's and B's at A-Level. I'm currently an undergraduate student studying English, the subject where my strengths most definitely lie. I previously studied in London while working full-time, and am interested in pursuing a TEFL to teach young people English as a second-language.

I am an English Intervention Tutor in a UK secondary school, with a BA in English with Creative Writing. I have a National Tutoring Programme certificate and I am also TEFL qualified. I have over two years’ experience of tutoring and over two years’ experiences as a TEFL teacher. I know that the road to higher education is not easy. In fact, GCSE and A-level years were really tough for me. I know things can be overwhelming at this level and I aim to do everything I can to help students along the way. With lots of hard work, I managed to achieve A*s in both A Level and GCSE English. I also achieved best in my year in my undergraduate degree. I would love to use the skills I have learnt to help students achieve the grades they want. I will personalise the lesson to you and your particular exam specification. I will do my own homework for each lesson, making sure I am familiar with mark schemes and set texts. For TEFL students, I take a personal approach, assessing your most important goals and tailoring lessons to these goals. I try to incorporate elements of reading, writing and speaking into each lesson. In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing, learning Spanish and watching football.
