I am currently a student studying Aeronautical Engineering at Loughborough University. I like to make things with my 3D printer, and I am also teaching myself to play my bass guitar, and have recently made my own lead guitar with only hand tools. I achieved an A* in both my Maths and Further Maths A-levels, and also achieved an 8 in my Maths GCSE. During my studies, I also took part in 3 UKMT (United Kingdom Mathematics Trust) challenges, achieving a bronze certificate for the intermediate challenge (2020), and both a bronze and silver certificate in the intermediate challenge (2021, 2022). -Note. I achieved these grades at Pearson Edexcel GCSE, and Pearson Edexcel Level 3 (A-level)

I fell in love with the Italian language over a decade ago and have been speaking it ever since! My relationship with Spanish started during my University career, but quickly developed during my year of study abroad in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. I have over two years' experience sharing my knowledge, experience and enthusiasm with students of various ages, and have supported pupils to prepare for exams or simply learn for fun. Having previously been a nervous speaker myself, my goal is to show students how capable they really are of holding their own in another language. I always make sure to identify pupils' learning preferences and areas of difficulty, and tailor my lessons to support each individual. In this way, I help learners to build stronger understanding of key concepts, excellent listening, reading and writing skills, as well as newfound confidence when speaking.

My name is Claire, and I am an experienced educator with 8 years of teaching expertise. I am also experienced tutoring for 11+ preparation and GCSE subjects. I am dedicated to creating a positive and supportive learning environment, tailoring each lesson to match the unique learning style of every student. My goal is to help students build confidence, achieve success, and feel fully supported throughout their educational journey. As a certified Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, I incorporate technology to deliver engaging and interactive lessons. I am passionate about empowering students to realize their full potential and fostering a lifelong love of learning. I hold a 2:1 degree in Psychology and Criminology from Keele University and a PGCE with an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) specialism from the University of Birmingham. My academic foundation laid the groundwork for my passion for education and child development. I began my teaching career at Wylde Green Primary School, where I taught for 7 years, followed by a year at St Barnabas Primary School. During this time, I gained extensive experience teaching children from Reception to Year 6, honing my ability to adapt to various age groups and learning needs. Currently, I work as a Senior Trainer at Our Learning Cloud, where I deliver EdTech training to educators, combining my teaching expertise with technology to enhance learning experiences. My qualifications include GCSEs with 6 A’s, 2 A*s, and 3 B’s, as well as A Levels in BCC, reflecting my strong academic foundation.

I am an English and Spanish teacher who encourages students to think critically and creatively. I believe that students learn and develop at different rates and in different ways. In this regard, I have a strong desire to transmit the knowledge I have acquired through my experiences to students. In my free time I love doing horse riding and ceramics.
