I am an English Intervention Tutor in a UK secondary school, with a BA in English with Creative Writing. I have a National Tutoring Programme certificate and I am also TEFL qualified. I have over two years’ experience of tutoring and over two years’ experiences as a TEFL teacher. I know that the road to higher education is not easy. In fact, GCSE and A-level years were really tough for me. I know things can be overwhelming at this level and I aim to do everything I can to help students along the way. With lots of hard work, I managed to achieve A*s in both A Level and GCSE English. I also achieved best in my year in my undergraduate degree. I would love to use the skills I have learnt to help students achieve the grades they want. I will personalise the lesson to you and your particular exam specification. I will do my own homework for each lesson, making sure I am familiar with mark schemes and set texts. For TEFL students, I take a personal approach, assessing your most important goals and tailoring lessons to these goals. I try to incorporate elements of reading, writing and speaking into each lesson. In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing, learning Spanish and watching football. Hi, My name is Francis and I tutor A level chemistry, A level maths, GCSE science and maths and 11+. I'm on a gap year and am going to study biochemistry at Oxford University, and I love working with students to help them master their subject and to prepare them for great success in their exams. I am willing to discuss and teach any part of the A level curriculum, and will use my experiences learning the subject to offer tips and guidance on how best to revise the course. I am a classical singer (countertenor) and have a passion for music, as well as being a rower too. I speak Polish at a native level. I love reading and blogging about science, philosophy and art, and hope to become a university biochemistry professor in the future! I am a third year medical student at Imperial College London, who also attended Queen Elizabeth's Boys' School. Whilst being a student, who's done his 11+, GCSEs and A-levels, I had to came up with new techniques to try and break down complex topics into smaller and simpler topics. I would love to pass on this knowledge, that I have gained through my experiences, onto younger students who are currently going through the processes that I did. My teaching style consists of seeing how each individual student learns best and then gearing my lessons towards their particular strengths to make learning as easy and fun as possible. Hi, I'm Cilla and I'm a final year medical student studying at the University of Leicester. I pride myself for having an understanding and empathetic student-focused approach to teaching. As a student, I know how terrifying exams can be. I hope with my help, my students can learn to tackle exam questions in a calm, collected manner. Academic achievements: At A-level I achieved all A’s in AQA Biology, AQA Chemistry and AQA Maths with an A* in an EPQ. At GCSE I achieved 11 GCSEs all 9-7, with all 8/9 in AQA Maths, AQA Chemistry and AQA Biology.
