I am an undergraduate studying Biology at Imperial College London. I have always had a passion for teaching, having been doing so throughout all my studies. I enjoy teaching Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics, and hope to pass on my passion to the students.

My name is Imad and I am currently on a gap year with a guaranteed place to study medicine at the University of Liverpool this year, having attended a grammar school prior. Tutoring has always been a passion of mine, and I have much experience tutoring in the last two years offering both a private service as well as tutoring friends and family through 11+, GCSE and A-level exams. In these two years, I have managed to perfect my teaching style to get the most out of my students. My teaching style is heavily interactive, placing emphasis on students finding answers on their own with my guidance for better understanding. My proven track record demonstrates my ability to effectively convey complex concepts in a manner that is easily understandable and relatable to students. I am completely aware that not all students are the same and everyone has their own preference when learning, which is why I am committed to tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each individual student. I like to think of myself as a tutor that students can easily relate to, making students more interested in paying attention during the lesson and trying to get the most of it without feeling bored or lost. I prioritise building strong rapport and trust with my students, creating a supportive learning environment where they feel comfortable expressing their challenges and asking questions. I understand the importance of not just academic support, but also emotional support, particularly during stressful periods such as exams or major assignments. As a tutor, I am not just a teacher, but also a mentor and a cheerleader, providing encouragement, guidance, and constructive feedback every step of the way, using personal experience and what had worked on myself in the past to help my students in any way possible. By choosing me as their tutor, students can expect not only academic improvement but also a mentor who is passionate about their success and invested in helping them reach their full potential, as well as reaching a deeper understanding and appreciation for the subject matter. I am currently on a gap year, with a guaranteed place to study Medicine at the University of Liverpool, starting in September 2024. In 2015, I took the 11+ exam, securing a place at all 5 grammar schools that I applied to. Eventually, I went on to attend King Edward VI Grammar School (KEGS). At GCSE level, I gained five grade 9's, four grade 8's and three grade 7's. This includes a grade 9 in all subjects that I tutor. At A-level, I gained A*, A*, A, B in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and EPQ.

I have previous experience tutoring a range of ages and abilities. I have studied both GCSEs and A-Levels in the UK, quite recently, with my GCSEs being under the new 'number' grading system. This means I have a comprehensive understanding of the exams, as well as the trials and tribulations that come with them. I feel that puts me in the best position possible to tutor and support a fellow student through such an important stage in their life. In my free time, I love to play football and basketball with my friends, and go to the gym!
