About me- I am a Medical Student, who loves learning and trying new things. Currently I am teaching myself the violin! I love dancing and playing netball in my free time. I enjoy teaching English, Maths, Sciences and history and I love to make session very interactive and have the students feel comfortable to ask any questions. I am a final year Economics student at the University of Bristol and have a very mathematical academic background. I babysit a lot back at home and volunteer for my university's nightline so have a lot of experience helping & communicating with children and students. I also love going to the gym and listening to music! I am open to tutoring maths (up to A-level) and economics (up to A-level), Edexcel and AQA. I did Maths (A*), Physics (A) and Economics (A*) at A-Level as well as an EPQ. I did GCSEs for Maths and English and IGCSEs for all my other subjects. I have also completed mentoring, volunteering and an internship (finance/banking related) whilst at university.

I hold First Class degrees in Literature and Linguistics (BA Hons) and Contemporary Literature (MA). I specialise in twentieth and twenty-first-century Literature, English Language and Linguistics, Theory of Mind, and Neurolinguistics. My current research interests are consciousness studies at the intersection between the humanities and the sciences, using literary fiction to represent modes of cognition.

One student was able to pass his foundation paper after multiple attempts. Another student did so well ina school test that he moved up from doing the foundation paper to the higher paper and one other student recieved the required level for his first choice of university. About you: I'm a PhD graduate and have experience teaching at a wide range of ages. I have a keen interest in films and play bridge. I have even played bridge for England. I have both a Masters degree and PhD from the University of Sheffield in mathematics. While at university I assisted in running tutorials for undergraduate students. As an assistant demonstrator I led classes through an example question at the front while encouraging them to take part in working through the problem together. I also answered any questions they may have had individually. For certain modules I marked the students’ homework.
