My name is Giada, an Italian expatriate in the UK for 7 years. I hold a degree in Forensic Science. My passion for learning fuels a desire to share knowledge, embodying a blend of cultural richness and scientific curiosity. I embrace challenges with a positive mindset, making every experience an opportunity for growth. I love adopting different teaching styles according to the students and their specific needs. I teach various subjecs such as Biology, Chemistry and Italian to students from the ages of 10 to 25+. Beyond tutoring, I enjoy spending my time practising yoga, reading books and volunteering. I have struggled with anxiety and have been always a bit of a perfectionist, therefore I have personal experience with how it feels to want to achieve the best one can, and I try to give some help and advice to students from this point of view as well. My Biology knowledge is strong across all exam boards and I have a particular interest in Genetics and Molecular Biology. During my time at Abertay University, I served as the Class Representative for two consecutive years, actively contributing to the academic community and fostering communication between students and faculty. This experience honed my leadership and organizational skills. Engaging in the Research Volunteer Scheme (of a chemistry-based project) provided me with invaluable practical experience in applying the research process. In my dissertation, I delved into the intricate realm of mRNA and miRNA, showcasing my in-depth knowledge of these molecules alongside DNA in both general biology and forensic biology. I possess academic as well as professional application of biology and chemistry knowledge. I am Italian, therefore I can offer Italian lessons to English speaking students. My experience in tutoring has been mostly with my peers (ages 18-22), however, I have also gained experience with children from ages of 8 to 17.

Hi! I am Lyka Anne I. Gabuat, I hold a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree, specializing in Teaching Mathematics to middle school and high school students. For 6 years, I have taught math courses to senior high school students, specifically Calculus, Statistics and Probabilities and General Mathematics. I also have a short but extensive experience teaching IB, A-level and IGCSE math’ through an after-school program in China. At present, I am an online private tutor catering students who are struggling in mathematics. At present, I’m a freelance private math tutor. I like to see my students have fun as they learn new ideas and concepts. I believe that every student is unique, and it's our responsibility as educators to nurture their individual strengths and help them reach their full potential. I graduated from University of Baguio, Philippines last may of 2016 and got my teaching license the same year. I worked in the same University from August 2016 - December 2022 as Senior High School math teacher. I went to China in the following year to tutor International students and come back for personal reasons. At the moment, I'm a freelance Math tutor catering primary school to senior high school students thru online and face-to-face platform. I’ve had many years of experience volunteering with schools helping students excel in subjects that they find difficult. I’ve always had a passion for science leading me to have a career in microbiology so I know tutoring biology would be a strong suit. Hopefully, I can encourage more students, especially young women to pursue a future in STEM. I loved maths back in school and I do find myself still doing random mathematical questions as I love the subject. I was my favourite back in school. My teacher made English enjoyable and allowed me to have creative responsibilities, making me want to pass that on to the next generation. Apart from my educational background, I enjoy art, allowing me to be more creative and express myself in a different light. But apart from my academics, Im very creative and enjoy doing lots of artistic hobbies such as painting and drawing. My most remarkable talent is drawing landscapes. I also am a big movie buff so hopefully, I can if I have that in common with a student I use that to tailor lessons for them.
