Hi, I'm Caitlin! I am an English Literature graduate from the University of Sheffield. My degree in English has given me lots of knowledge, insight and passion for the subject. I am an experienced and reliable tutor, and in the past have tutored GCSE students who have gone on to achieve amazing grade 9s. GCSE: English Literature + English Language (Such as Shakespeare, Poetry, Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde, An Inspector Calls) A-Level: English Literature I will work with the student towards their goals and help them become more confident and advanced in their written and verbal ideas. I have a degree in English Literature from a Russell Group University. I have achieved high grades in English Literature at degree, GCSE and A-Level, and it was always my favourite subject. I am very passionate about different texts and much of the content I learnt myself when I did my exams back in 2017. My lessons will be informative, fun and interesting and I will focus on the needs of the student and helping them to achieve their best grade and full potential!

Hi! My name is Aurora and I am a postgraduate student at the University of Manchester, studying a Masters in Development Economics. I am originally from Italy, but I moved to the UK when I was 16 and sat both my GCSEs and A Levels in London. In my GCSEs I achieved 8 A* and 4 A grades. These were the second-highest results in my cohort, despite the fact I had only been living in England for two years before sitting my exams. At sixth form, I taught myself French A Level in just one year and achieved an A grade, the highest grade in my class. I have always found learning languages an extremely rewarding, albeit sometimes frustrating process. Although languages open up doors to new ways of thinking and seeing the world around you, grasping the different aspects of a language, such as its grammar, can be demoralising. And that’s what I am here for - as a fellow language learner, I can empathise with the difficulties of this process and will do my best to make it as smooth and fun as possible. Furthermore, as a foreigner who has been through the UK education system, I am able to advise those in similar positions and facing similar challenges. Students learn in different ways, so I will adapt our lessons depending on your preferred learning style. During the introductory lesson, I will ask you questions in order to determine how you study, and your responses will shape the way I plan our future sessions. I will also be interested to know the topics you are struggling the most with, in order to give me a clearer idea of the areas I should focus on. I look forward to hearing from you! All the best, Aurora Qualifications: Msc, Development Economics and Policy at the University of Manchester (September 2023 - September 2024) BA, Economics with French and German at the University of Sheffield (September 2019 - June 2023) : First Class with Distinction in Spoken German A Levels (2016 - 2018): French (A), Italian (A), Chemistry (A), Mathematics (A) GCSEs (2014 - 2016): English Language (A), Chemistry (A), Physics (A), Further Mathematics (A), Biology (A*), Mathematics (A*), French (A*), German (A*), Italian (A*), ICT (A*), Religious Studies (A*), English Literature (A*).
