I currently attend university, studying law and economics as a joint honours degree. As well as this, I am an avid athlete, playing netball, swimming and doing athletics as well. I have completed 10 GCSEs, achieving all 8/7s for all my subjects as well as completing my A-Levels, which consisted of Maths, Economics and Chemistry achieving two A's (Maths and Chemistry) as well as a B (Economics).

Hi, my name is Sally! I tutor English from primary to A-Level. My sessions are fun, engaging and motivating, and I always focus on the progress you make from session to session. I help tackle tricky topics with real-life examples that are sure to come flooding back in your exam! I've worked with all ages in education, from 4 years old to adults, so no matter your age, ability or level, I'll make sure you're comfortable, confident and capable as we go through sessions together. I teach: Primary English, Secondary English, GCSE Language & Literature, English as a Second Language. I have taught students with: ASD, dyslexia, SEND. I am a qualified teacher (PGCE) with English specialism. I also have a BA (Hons) in Media Studies and an MA in Digital Media & Communications. My experience studying the media has given me an analytical mind, so I'm always digging deep into source material, asking why, and encouraging my learners to do the same. I'm a keen performer, so I have a Diploma in Musical Theatre Performance too!

I believe education is the one powerful tool that no one can ever take away from you- and that is what drives my passion to help students with their studies. I achieved 14 GCSE’s at secondary school and went on to achieve a Masters in Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham. In Primary School, I was awarded the Jack Petchey Youngest Achiever Award. However, education is not whole without some fun; I have also taken part in extra curricular activities such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award. I am the co-founder of the charity Broaden Out Their Horizons along with Harry Potter actress Helena Bonham Carter. Through this charity, I flew to South Africa to teach English Literature to underprivileged children at Magoba School. My teaching method: I believe in tailoring each lesson depending on the individual's needs. I am open to using different methods and have a very friendly approach in order to help students meet their learning needs! I want the students to feel comfortable and to enjoy their learning to the maximum! I was at university for four years and completed my MPharm degree. During this time, I studied the second year of my degree at Nottingham's Malaysia Campus. My years of education have been pivotal in shaping the the person I am today.

Whether we acknowledge it or not, maths and science are all around us in many obvious and invisible ways from how your wifi sends and receives data to how planes can fly. I chose engineering because it allows me to put my knowledge of maths and science to practical use in being able to create something in the real world. Everything man-made you can think of is the product of engineering. Because of this, knowledge is power, and with the right knowledge and tools, anyone can design anything. I aim to inspire students by making learning enjoyable, through a process that is at the student's pace - no pressure - and showing real-life applications in a topic to both prove its usefulness and to hopefully spark an interest in the subject. I will make sure that the student actually understands a topic so that they can not only answer standard exam questions easily but so that they can also use their solid knowledge of the topic to answer unfamiliar, "tricky" exam questions. Truly understanding a subject or topic in combination with a real interest in it can stick with someone for a lifetime. Being able to truly learn something happens when someone wants to, not because they have to. I also love music. I like to sing and play the guitar and piano.
