Hi! My name is Pragnya, I'm a second year medical student at King's College London. I am available to tutor and support students with biology, chemistry, and mathematics, at primary, GCSE and A-Level, as well as for the 11+. I have previous experience with tutoring students and I love and enjoy helping others gain confidence whilst learning! I deliver English tuition using the latest digital technology for collaborative learning in fun and interactive sessions. For KS2-KS3 students, I focus on SPaG, reading comprehension of fiction, non-fiction and poetry, and improving sentence and paragraph structure. I use positive reinforcement continuously during my sessions to motivate my students. I have extensive experience of AQA, WJEC, Edexcel and Eduqas curriculums for GCSE and Advanced level studies. I teach Ofqual’s Assessment Objectives: how to respond to texts, analyse their language, form and structure, consider the relationship between texts and contexts, and to use a wide range of vocabulary and sentence structures. Also, I help my students to understand set texts: prose, plays and poetry, and to improve their transactional and creative writing skills. I provide bespoke teaching sessions to suit students’ individual needs. I support my students through their studies to improve their confidence to answer essay and exam questions. I help students with comprehension by teaching them textual analysis to improve their interpretative skills and offer a lot of past paper practice. As well as sharing my extensive academic knowledge, I am patient with my students', who respond well to my approach and excel under my tutelage. Currently I am recording some Math's videos for a grade 6 textbook used nationwide in S.A. I believe that the best way to learn is to teach, and the best way to teach comes from experience, learning and patience, as well as a bit of interest of course. I am blessed enough to be able to travel and teach wherever I go, all while I expand on my knowledge and help other's expand on theirs. I am dynamic in my vast experience and knowledge - I teach in a way that is personal, yet memorable. I am a very patient, bubbly, yet down-to-earth and compassionate person, which shows in my teaching as well. I am a certified TEFL/TESOL teacher with over 7 years of teaching experience in both formal and informal settings. I have expanded in the fields of the 11+, SATs and of course GCSE, in the English language world of teaching/tutoring, and I'm so excited to get my students to where they want to and need to be in order to excel! Apart from being part of the Go Student team, I teach one-on-one English classes (grammar, conversational, business, presentational, interview/exam prep, language, literature, etc.) to foreign students from beginner levels to more advanced levels, ranging from ages 3 all the way up to more senior years. I am very passionate about teaching and being able to assist the young minds of tomorrow's future achieve the best they can! As a dynamic teacher I use methods that are not entirely by the book - lessons are structured in a way that is meant to feel as if it is natural and not your typical school lesson - it is FUN, yet VALUABLE! I curate lessons and the process of the tutoring according to my student's needs and at their pace. I have many positive long-term relationships with my students and I look forward to creating more, whilst also being the best motivation I can be to help with learning needs.
