GCSE Maths Tutor Education: 1st Class BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering Levels: Maths Physics Accounts 9 GCSE's A*- C including Maths, Further Maths, Science and English Interests: I am into reading fantasy books such as Mistborn, Dresden Files and many more. Really into Call of Duty and other video games as play these in my free time. I have recently got sucked into playing a mobile game called Marvel Strike Force. I am really into art and have drawn a few Dragon Ball Z characters. Action is my favourite genre of movies which includes the like of John Wick, Marvel and Hobbs and Shaw.

After university I worked at a secondary school on a graduate scheme with Step Into Teaching, working as a teaching assistant and running the school library. In this role I worked predominantly with KS3 students on a 1:1 and small-group basis, but I love working with KS4 students and building their knowledge in their subjects. In this role I have worked with SEN and ESL students. Shortly after this I went to Malaga, Spain to work as an au pair. While living with a Spanish family it was my repsonsiblity to teach English to two daughters, ages 11 and 14. I then worked as an English tutor in a secondary school through the National Tutoring Programme. In this role I worked with year 10 and year 11 students, helping them progress in GCSE English Literature and GCSE English Language. I have recently completed an MA in Education at University College London and am currently working as a teaching assistant in a secondary school. Next September I will be training as a secondary school English teacher. I'm passionate about building student's confidence in their subject alongside building their subject knowledge. Based on my own experience, I'm keen to help students become more confident in how they perform in exam conditions and maximise the application of their knowledge when under pressure. My favourite thing about working as a tutor is seeing students gradually become more confident in asking questions and the sense of achievement they feel when they have reached a certain target grade or a certificate or award in school. I’ve had many years of experience volunteering with schools helping students excel in subjects that they find difficult. I’ve always had a passion for science leading me to have a career in microbiology so I know tutoring biology would be a strong suit. Hopefully, I can encourage more students, especially young women to pursue a future in STEM. I loved maths back in school and I do find myself still doing random mathematical questions as I love the subject. I was my favourite back in school. My teacher made English enjoyable and allowed me to have creative responsibilities, making me want to pass that on to the next generation. Apart from my educational background, I enjoy art, allowing me to be more creative and express myself in a different light. But apart from my academics, Im very creative and enjoy doing lots of artistic hobbies such as painting and drawing. My most remarkable talent is drawing landscapes. I also am a big movie buff so hopefully, I can if I have that in common with a student I use that to tailor lessons for them. I absolutely love mathematics and teaching/helping people but, ultimately, my passion is dance. On top of my maths degree, I am training to be a professional commercial dancer. I love dance, drama, drawing, painting - anything creative! I like to be creative when teaching as I think learning should be a fun, exciting and enjoyable experience.
