Hi, I am 25-year-old University of Leeds graduate, with a BA honours in English Literature and History. I have also successfully applied to a History MA at Queen Mary University, to start in September 2023. I have worked as an English Foreign Language teacher in South Korea and as a Social Media and Event Director. Have also helped young people with exam stress and learning difficulties. Preferred Student Age Group Have worked with all age groups of children previously. Happy to help and teach children of all ages. For preference, I would say GCSE age group. I have been a volunteer leader at my local Scout group and helped to coordinate international and national events. During my time at university, I was elected as Publicity Secretary for the Leeds University English Society, where I planned events and wrote weekly newsletters. I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors; I particularly enjoy hiking, rock climbing, and football. I have always enjoyed helping people and I hope to do so in this new tutoring role. About me: I am completing my Physics degree at the University of Manchester and used to compete in Physics and Astronomy competitions at school, which inspired me to pursue a career as a scientist. One of my hobbies is astronomy, especially stargazing and tracking meteors during meteor showers. Still, my true passion is to make knowledge accessible to as many people as possible and use science to make the world a slightly better place. Lower level: Mathematics, Science GCSE level: Mathematics, Physics A-level: Mathematics, Physics Higher level: Physics Programming languages: Python, C++, LaTeX SEN experience: I have worked with year 7&8 SEN students for a few weeks as part of my teaching internship, helping them with their Science lessons. Any additional languages: Bulgarian I am currently completing my Physics undergrad (preceded by a foundation year) at the University of Manchester. I graduated from one of the most elite high schools in my home country, which focused on Maths and Computer science. I used to compete in Physics and Astronomy competitions and olympiads, where I was one of the top-performing students. Before I studied Physics, I studied Architecture for two years at the same university - I wanted to try something different, since I love arts and see myself as a very creative person, but realised that science was my true passion and switched to Physics, where you find me now. I have worked several part-time jobs and completed several internships to support myself alongside my studies. These include an internship as a civil servant, part of the Government Operational Research Service, and the National Teaching Internship Programme, provided by the Department of Education. The teaching internship involved teaching GCSE and A-level Maths and Physics to students between years 7 and 12 in a few local schools and colleges. This experience helped me realise how much I enjoy teaching, fostering critical thinking skills in others, and guiding them towards discovering their passions. It also taught me how inclusive and expansive science can be and how crucial education is.

I have been tutoring for 10 years, teaching children both in-person at their homes and online! I always adapt my teaching methods to the student, focusing on their goals and the topics that they struggle most with. Due to my patience and open mind, I have had many successful students getting the grades they want for their exams. Alongside tutoring, I’m a full time Cheerleading and gymnastics coach. I work with children from the ages of 3-18+ in both schools and within my programme I attend Farringtons school for both primary and secondary school, in which I completed my GCSE/IGCSEs there, obtaining 7-9 in Maths, English, and Science.
