I'm Vinay, currently studying towards a degree in Economics. Aside from attaining top grades at school, I am very sporty, having played cricket, hockey and badminton. Finally, I strongly believe that each student learns differently so that's why I tailor my lessons to suit their learning style and make learning fun! I love to meet other people and learn from their cultures...the world is a wonderful and diverse place and each of us have a purpose...I feel passionate about empowering people to reach their goals. Learning English is a wonderful communicative bridge. My teaching focus is adult learning with a range of CEFR level English A2 - C2. I especially encourage conversational English, focusing on the learner's environment (occupation, hobbies etc.) I have a Law degree, a Master's degree in Development and Management as well as a Master's degree in Business Administration. I am also a certified Life Coach and have been teaching at a tertiary institution for a number of years after practicing as an attorney. I have a Level 5 TEFL diploma and enjoy every moment of teaching English.

Alongside my English Literature degree, I am a competitive middle-distance athlete and work within the executive team, as VP of Sport, on my college committee at the University of York. I also enjoy my role as a course ambassador, speaking to prospective students and parents at open days about studying English at Undergraduate level and university life in general. While at University, I began teaching English Literature and Language via zoom, primarily to GCSE students, with the hope of tutoring at A-Level too. My sessions are always based on the personal areas that each individual student wishes to focus on, to consolidate or enhance their understanding of the given topic. I am patient and understanding, so promise to support each student at their own pace and be not only a tutor, but also a reassuring support-system to whom they can direct any questions or queries. I hope to guide and support other students in their personal academic goals, through a focus on exam technique, revision methods and coping with the potential stress that may arise during exam season, to help get the best out of each individual. I am a third-year English Literature student at the University of York, where my modules cover an expansive geographical and temporal range from Latin Literature and the Middle Ages, to the Renaissance and 20th Century American Literature. In my A-Levels, I achieved 3x A*s in English Literature, History and Latin. In my GCSEs, I achieved a grade 8 in Chemistry and a grade 9 in the following subjects: English Literature, English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Latin, History, Religious Studies and Computer Science.

I am a final year pure mathematics at Loughborough University. I am happy to teach A Level and GCSE Mathematics level with any exam boards. I speak Italian fluently. I also love painting and being creative. I have struggled with maths in the past, so I feel I understand the frustration students may have and I am very patient with them. I am currently studying towards my bachelors in mathematics. At A level I had studied Biology Maths and Chemistry and achieved A*AA. I have been tutoring maths GCSE and A level since 2020 both in person and through online platforms. I like to make personalised resources on topics for my students, and I have loved teaching in this way.
