I’m Luci, a recent maths graduate from the University of Oxford. I’ve been tutoring all ages and abilities for over five years, ranging from helping secondary school students to adjust to their pre-GCSE workload, to A level, admissions tests and interview practice for 16 to 18 year olds. I tutor primary school, GCSE and A Level maths. I have experience with children hoping to increase their grade to a high pass, but have also worked on summer schools with students aiming to achieve top A level grades and study maths degrees at prestigious universities. After working as a teacher in Spain on a two month summer school, I really hope to work as a maths teacher abroad in the future! I’m an enthusiastic and approachable tutor with a passion for learning. I’m currently working towards a TESOL qualification, enabling me to teach all around the world. As part of this I completed an internship teaching over a 2 month programme in Spain. I’ve worked as an intern for 3 months with the University of Oxford, tutoring and helping students most negatively impacted by the pandemic with their university applications, and encouraging children of all backgrounds to progress to higher education.

I have two years of experience supporting children with autism with their learning goals and have an in-depth understanding of the primary, special needs and secondary curriculum.

As someone who has excelled in mathematics throughout my academic career, I am confident that I can make a significant impact as a GCSE-level mathematics tutor. I have always been passionate about numbers, and I believe that this enthusiasm translates well into my teaching style. I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand terms that students can relate to, and I always strive to make my lessons engaging and interactive. In addition to my strong academic background, I have gained valuable experience working with students in various capacities, including volunteering as a tutor for younger students and coaching boxing at a youth level. These experiences have allowed me to hone my communication and leadership skills, which I believe are crucial for effective tutoring. My academic background includes pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mathematics at Queen Mary's University London. Additionally, I achieved A-levels in Economics (A*), Mathematics (A*), and Further Maths (A) and obtained 10 GCSE grades ranging from 9 to 6. Throughout my academic career, I have developed a strong passion for Mathematics and a deep interest in Economics.
