Hi, my name is Roland and I'm currently a second year medical student at the University of Bristol. I was born and raised in the UK, but I am half Japanese and have spent some considerable time in Japan. I enjoy playing tennis and going swimming, as well as academic studying. I have formal experiences of teaching Japanese exchange students English and also casually teaching students at GCSE level. I have been with GoStudent for almost a year, teaching over 50 lessons to students.

With more than 11 years of experience as a Maths Teacher and being a well-rounded educator, I have had the opportunity to teach a diverse group of students in key stages 1, 2, 3 and 4, thus enhancing my teaching techniques and instructional methods. I currently teach GCSE Maths and also A level Maths and IBDP MAA and MAI at college. I am a very enthusiastic and energetic with a good sense of humor, and I bring these qualities with me to every session I give. I firmly believe that if the teacher is excited and interested, the students will be, too. My hope is to leave my students with a positive impression of education, and to feel they had a dedicated and knowledgeable teacher who brought curiosity and creativity to the educational process.

Hello there! Hope you are well. My name is Joshua Hailey and my pronouns are he/him. I have been an online tutor for almost two years now, and I hope this 'About Me' section gives you an insight into who I am and my teaching style. Before I go into more detail about who I am, I would urge you to read the testimonials, (at the bottom of this section), from some of my current parents whose children I am teaching! I am an English Literature BA (Hons) graduate who studied at the University of Portsmouth. In September 2024 I am undertaking a Masters in Modern and Contemporary Literature from the University of Leicester. With over two years tutoring experience, a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills, I have challenged and supported students across all educational stages, including primary school pupils right up to A Level students! I want your child to succeed and I truly believe they can do this! My lessons are varied, fun, but get the work done! Education is not 'one size fits all', and online tutoring is the perfect example of this. My sessions will see your child grow from strength to strength, as they learn new concepts and methods of success in their respective subject. You will not find me simply reading off a screen for the entire lesson, but you can expect interactivity to drive every single lesson that I will (hopefully) have with your child! I am a third-year undergraduate student studying Chemistry at the University of Leicester. Throughout my studies, I have seen how hard learning can be. I hope to help students build confidence and gain a deeper understanding of their subject area so they can reach their full potential during exams. I aim to base my teaching around individual students and their needs. I would like to focus on exam question practice using techniques that helped me through my studies.
