I’m Luci, a recent maths graduate from the University of Oxford. I’ve been tutoring all ages and abilities for over five years, ranging from helping secondary school students to adjust to their pre-GCSE workload, to A level, admissions tests and interview practice for 16 to 18 year olds. I tutor primary school, GCSE and A Level maths. I have experience with children hoping to increase their grade to a high pass, but have also worked on summer schools with students aiming to achieve top A level grades and study maths degrees at prestigious universities. After working as a teacher in Spain on a two month summer school, I really hope to work as a maths teacher abroad in the future! I’m an enthusiastic and approachable tutor with a passion for learning. Please note that I am currently only taking on A-level mathematics students I’m currently working towards a TESOL qualification, enabling me to teach all around the world. As part of this I completed an internship teaching over a 2 month programme in Spain. I’ve worked as an intern for 3 months with the University of Oxford, tutoring and helping students most negatively impacted by the pandemic with their university applications, and encouraging children of all backgrounds to progress to higher education.

After completing my A Levels and gaining a bachelors degree, I started to teach English as a Foreign Language online. I prepare and guide students to gain the skills and confidence they need to sit their exams. I have been teaching student remotely for several years and really love it. I have successfully used a variety of subjects, such as Maths, Science, History, Geography etc. while teaching foreign students how to use their English skills. This has helped them good grades not only in English but also in their other subject areas. While completing my A Levels I taught Maths privately; supporting students after school. I also used some of my lunchtimes to help lower years students improve their Maths too. My classes are always well prepared, and students are made to feel at ease. Student use controlled practice in class to make sure they understand what they have learned before they attempt to do exercises on their own. We use additional resources (charts, diagrams, pictures etc.) to help understanding too. As a person, I am patient, kind and enthusiastic. I love reading lots of different books and caring for animals, especially my pets. I enjoy travelling and have visited a lot of different countries including Egypt, Europe, and America. I also gained a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver qualification as I travelled. I never stop learning! Hello, my name is Shabana and I am a university student studying Psychology. I have a passion to teach students, and always aim to make students happy in sessions. I specialise in GCSE chemistry as well as primary school maths and english. I have 1-2 years of experience in teaching primary students including teaching for 11+ entrance exams. I am currently studying at university for a degree in Psychology, this is a flexible timetable.
