I have a Bachelor of Education degree intermediate and senior phase, I did my honours in Inclusive Education and I have 180hour TEFL certificate. I have been teaching on the GoStudent platform for nearly 2 years now. I spent a gap year working as a teaching assistant in my local primary school where I mainly worked with year 6. However, I also had experience with years 3,4 and 5. My main hobby is gaming and esports such as Overwatch where I used to play professionally and reached top 100 ranked in Europe. I now play on the university team and also coach players to help them improve! Subjects taught: GCSE: Maths A-Level (IB): Maths Exam Board Experience: AQA at both GCSE and A-Level, although i think the content covered in A-Level maths is now the same across all UK exam boards. Preferred student age group: A-Level, however GCSE students are still welcome. Hi! I'm Saugat and I finished my A-Levels in June of 2023. I enjoy playing basketball, volunteering and watching MMA. My goal is to provide subject-specific strategies to make challenging topics as as intuitive as possible for students, giving them the knowledge to tackle a whole range of problems. Whilst at Sixth Form, I studied A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry, achieving 4 A* grades. I've also obtained 8 GCSEs at Grade 9 (including maths), alongside an A in Additional Maths and 2 Grade 7s in English Language & Literature. I am currently studying Bsc Computer Science & Mathematics at the University of Manchester.

I am a highly experienced and passionate mathematics tutor with over 20 years of experience. My ultimate goal is to improve student academic performance and make learning real, relevant and rigorous. I ensure that I focus on goal setting and creating benchmarks to ensure students are set up for academic progress. My general approach includes: • Adapting my approach/method to suit the student’s learning style • Incorporating connections to the student’s interests • Teaching to the student’s strengths and minimise the student’s weaknesses • Motivating and inspiring the student to learn • Using numerous past papers to prepare students for the exam and improve their exam technique • Setting homework I have a passion for mathematics and as a result chose to study 4 related A-levels; Maths, Pure Maths, Further Maths and Applied Maths. I also obtained an A-level in Physics. I continued my education at university completing an Undergraduate BSc Honours and Postgraduate degrees in Civil Engineering. I am very enthusiastic about teaching mathematics, and I have taught a variety of students across many ages and abilities for over 20 years. I find tutoring very rewarding as it enables me to inspire students to improve and achieve their goals.
