Hi my name is Stuart Smith. I have completed 19 years of successful teaching. I have gained experience of teaching years 7 to 11 Science and several years teaching A levels in Chemistry and Physics. Recently I was an examiner for Cambridge A level Chemistry. I have used my experience to develop a dynamic positive teaching style. Across the academic spectrum students find popular science in the media engaging and I make full use of this. Before coming into teaching I enjoyed many years working in the Shipbuilding Industry. This invaluable experience has enabled me to have knowledge of life outside the classroom and has enabled me to form a more rounded character. This has benefited work as a tutor as well as strengthening my ability as a team player. I have A levels in Biology, Chemistry , Physics and Mathematics. I studied BSc Chemistry at The University of Bristol and went on to study a PGCE in Science at The University of Bristol. A large coponent of my degree course included Chemistry , Physics and Mathematics.

I have been teaching English for GCSE, Junior Cert and Leaving Cert, as well as teaching Junior Cert and Leaving Cert French online for the last two years. As well as this, I teach primary school Irish and Ordinary Level Irish for the Junior and Leaving Certificate exams. I also have experience in tutoring EFL students with a low-level of English and helping them to gain confidence in their language skills. I have guided many students towards achieving both higher grades and developing genuine interest in the subjects I teach through my engaging and clear teaching style. I strongly believe that when students are comfortable with their tutor, and when they have a say in what material needs to be studied, they find it easier to actively learn and to absorb the information which they are being taught. Hi! I am 4th year medical student currently studying at the University of Leicester. I am a tutor who will focus on where you feel your weak spots may be and help you build confidence in those areas. I always adapt to my students style of learning so they can get the most out of their sessions ! I teach GCSE Combined Science, Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I did my GCSEs with Edexcel but I am also very comfortable with other exam boards. I also teach A Level Biology and Chemistry. At A Level I took my Biology exam using AQA and Chemistry using OCR but , again, I am comfortable with other exam boards. A bit more about me - I really enjoy listening to music and like to explore my creativity by crocheting clothes.
