Hi, I am an experienced and dedicated tutor specialised in helping my Economics and Business students excel in their learning. Currently, I am an Undergraduate student at The University of Birmingham studying Economics. My academic journey has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of economics and business models and theories with practical application. My name is Mashika, and I am a civil engineer and a have also worked as a middle school and high school teacher at Villa Grimani International School. I have a robust educational background that includes a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's degree in Complex Systems Engineering that I am currently pursuing. Additionally, I am passionate about child psychology and have read extensively on the subject to deepen my understanding of how children learn. This has truly shaped my teaching style which involves alot of interactive discussions and problem solving which in turn leads to increased self confidence and reasoning ability in students. Throughout my teaching journey, I have had the privilege of tutoring students of different ages and backgrounds in subjects such as Math, Chemistry, and Biology. This experience has strengthened my teaching skills, especially when it comes to understanding different student learning styles. I have found it fascinating to see how students grasp new concepts when they are related to real-life analogies. I find great joy in teaching, and one of my favorite quotes is by Steve Jobs, who said, "The only way to do great work is to love what you do". Levels & Subjects I teach: GCSE: Chemistry A-level (IB): Chemistry Exam Board experience: I have personally tutored students completing AQA GCSE chemistry and A-level students doing OCR chemistry. I do however understand how to access and utilise specific exam board specifications for teaching so would be happy to help students achieve qualifications with any UK board (e.g AQA, Edexcel and OCR). Languages: Native English speaker SEND (Special Education Needs and Disability) experience: I currently have no experience teaching children with additional needs and disabilities. Preferred student age groups: Both A-level and GCSE students About me: Hi there! my name is Joe and I currently studying for a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry at the University of Sussex. Before joining the Sussex I obtained my masters degree in chemistry from the University of York graduating with first-class honours. I particularly enjoy spending time in the lab, with my work being focused on developing new chemical reactions. Outside of the lab, you can usually find me strategising over the chess board, exploring worlds in the latest video games or stopping my cats from causing chaos! As a tutor, I hope to make chemistry more accessible and hopefully enjoyable for students! Typically, my lessons consist of explaining concepts to students that they have been struggling with, followed by crucial problem-solving and exam practice to build confidence. Following each session/ topic, you can expect homework/ exam questions, which I will mark and provide crucial regular feedback. I have recently completed my master's research project at the University of York and will be graduating with a First-Class Honours degree this July. I am excited to be continuing to study chemistry, undertaking a PhD in organic synthesis this September. Prior to joining the University of York, I attended Oakwood Park Grammar school where I completed both my A-level and GCSE qualifications the results of which are detailed below. Whilst still attending school I would meet weekly with 6 students on an individual basis to help prepare them for either their upcoming A-level or GCSE exams. The enjoyment gained from tutoring both at school and privately has led me to sign up for GoStudent where I hope to create an engaging and inspiring learning environment for pupils.

My name is Asal but you can call me Sal. I have just graduated from the University of Manchester and I am currently studying Graduate Medicine at the University of Liverpool! In my free time, I enjoy reading books and watching movies. I love listening to music and playing video games. Recently I've been learning how to make different cuisines and I have practised making all kinds of cakes and desserts. I have tutored GCSE and A-level students and have taught tips and tricks to the students which helped them in exams. I teach easy methods which enable the student to have a full understanding of the topic and to gain confidence in their abilities.
