Hi I’m Helen a student studying a Masters degree in Pharmacy at the University of Kent. I tutor Maths GCSE - up to year 10 Biology, chemistry and Geography - A-level, GCSE and KS3 Combined science and physics: up to year 10 I like painting and listening to music, I also enjoy singing and going out with friends. I tutor Biology, chemistry and geography for primary, GCSE and A-level students. I studied Geography, Biology and chemistry A-level where I achieved an A*,A*,A. I took 9 GCSE’s, these included Maths, double science and geography, where I achieved a: 9-9 in double since and an 8 in maths and 9 in geography.

I believe in the importance of not only studying a subject but enjoying it too, and I feel that through my various methods of explanation, I would be able to engage the students positively. Every student deserves access to reach their full potential and I strive to do this in the best way for them. I understand that there is not an umbrella method of teaching and therefore I am happy to accommodate each student's way of learning. I know the importance of English not only in a school setting but in life in general and I want to equip the students with the best knowledge of English, that they can apply to all forms of life. I also thoroughly enjoy teaching KS2 and KS3 maths as I am very comfortable with the content. I know the various methods to make maths easier for someone who did not grasp maths as easily as I did English. History has always been my favourite subject both at GCSE and A level and I would love to share my passion and knowledge of the subject. I studied 10 GCSEs in a range of subjects and English and Humanities have always been my strength. Hence I have a passion for transferring my knowledge to other students. At A Level I studied Government and Politics, RS and History which were all essay-based subjects. Through studying these subjects I understand the importance of being to write eloquently and thoroughly which is a life skill, regardless of the career you decide to pursue. I have completed a LLB Law, with a First Class and I am currently studying the Bar Practice Course.

I just completed my placement year in a big pharmaceutical company, and on the path of attaining a first. I speak french fluently and vist France frequently to see my family. I have a big passion for travelling and appreciating different cultures and traditions. In my spare time i learn Arabic and Spanish along with attend online lectures from renowned scientists. I have gained qualifications in tutoring first year biomedical science students, additionally thanks to my placement year i have gained a strong knowledge in IT skills, having worked with softwares such as word, excel and one note. I completed a presentation workshop, enhancing my presentation and video conferencing skills. Furthermore, in my spare time i completed online courses to ameliorate my biology knowledge, these courses include Malaria, Covid- 19, Ebola and GCP.

Teaching is a passion that allows me to combine my love for learning with my desire to help others succeed. There's something deeply rewarding about watching a student grasp a new concept or gain confidence in their abilities. For me, teaching isn't just about delivering information; it’s about creating a supportive and engaging environment where students feel inspired to explore, ask questions, and challenge themselves. One of the most fulfilling aspects of teaching is the opportunity to make a lasting impact on someone's life. Whether it's helping a student overcome a struggle, guiding them through their learning journey, or simply encouraging them to believe in their potential, those moments are what drive my passion. I believe that every student is unique, and it’s important to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs, whether through creative approaches, hands-on activities, or one-on-one support. Building meaningful relationships with students, understanding their strengths and challenges, and providing personalized guidance is at the heart of what I do. Ultimately, teaching is about fostering growth, inspiring curiosity, and empowering students to reach their full potential, and that’s what makes it such a fulfilling and lifelong passion for me. I completed my General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) in the United Kingdom, where I laid the foundation for my academic journey. Subsequently, I pursued my A-levels, advancing my knowledge in specific subjects and preparing for higher education. Currently, I am enrolled in university, where I am actively engaged in furthering my education.
