I am currently studying for my masters in Civil Engineering, I enjoy tutoring and have experience in tutoring both GCSE and A Level students, having acquired high grades in these subjects and levels myself. My goal is to help students understand the methods for each question, instead of simply finding the answer, helping them to continue to succeed when tackling questions of a similar nature within an exam setting.

My name's Charlotte. In my personal life, you can find me mountain biking, kayaking, camping or generally anything outdoors- I love to challenge myself! I do, however, equally enjoy reading a good book with a cup of hot chocolate. I am a trainee Counselling Psychologist on the Doctorate in Counselling Psychology course (ProfDoc). I also have a Masters (MSc) degree in Applied Psychology (Psychological therapies) and a Bachelors (BSc) degree in Psychology. In addition, I am a Support Worker (p/t) in a hospital setting and have over 100 hours of experience working as a trainee counselling psychologist. This has allowed me to feel confident in supporting a wide range of individuals in empowering themselves to overcome difficulties. My academic experience includes writing reports, conducting research and analysing results. I also have practical experience working collaboratively with clients and planning sessions to work towards their identified goals. As a tutor, I feel my skills lend themselves to supporting children and young people with English Language and Literature. I am well versed in planning and structuring an assignment, critically analysing text and context, and presenting complex ideas in a clear, focused way. I am also able to contrast and compare a variety of different writing styles. My focus as a tutor is to provide gentle guidance to encourage students to begin to feel confident in their own skills. I will work collaboratively with the student/ parent to identify goals and seek feedback on progress in order to achieve the best outcomes.

I am an English and Spanish teacher who encourages students to think critically and creatively. I believe that students learn and develop at different rates and in different ways. In this regard, I have a strong desire to transmit the knowledge I have acquired through my experiences to students. In my free time I love doing horse riding and ceramics.
