Teaching approach: My teaching approach involves planning and creating detailed lessons materials, synthesizing textbook material into bitesize information for young students to teach them in an enjoyable and interactive environment. Visual aids, practice questions and interactive activities (particularly for young students) are incorporated into each lesson and post-lesson feedback is provided to the parent/student, including all PowerPoint slides and other lesson materials used during the lesson and any homework if preferred. Additionally, academic progress is monitored via an initial key topic list (detailed on the first slide of the PowerPoint slides) which is updated after each lesson, including progress on individual focus areas of improvement for the student. Moreover, if the parent/student prefers, comprehensive reports of academic progress, topics covered and key areas of strength and improvement can be sent every two months. I am currently an Investment Analyst. I did my degree in Accounting and Finance with a year of studies abroad. I currently have a Master's degree in Finance. I am very enthusiastic about numbers and have spent years volunteering abroad teaching maths and also providing one-to-one maths tutoring in my community and in tutoring centers. I do all I can to tailor the structure of the tutoring to the need of all my students. Alongside providing tutoring to students, I do provide Maths tutoring to adults who require a maths certificate for a given profession. I am familiar and confident with the GCSE maths curriculum and with my strong background in accounting and finance, I am able to support anyone who needs help in understanding the principles and all the modules in Accounting and finance, and also supporting them with coursework and dissertations. I am a third-year Mathematics and Physics student at The University of Manchester. During my school years, I have been looking for experiences that could develop me as a human being and this is how I came across tutoring. My first such opportunity tutoring them in the subjects they had difficulty with by explaining core concepts, which helped me develop patience and adaptability. Working with children was not without its hurdles, but I used all my abilities to stir their interest. What was truly rewarding were their smiles and the strong bond that we created. I cherished every single moment with the children, especially the instant they understood the exercises. My experience attests to my ability to tutor young people in the subject of Mathematics. I want to be a tutor because I feel that through this I can change things, starting with the young generation: I can help them discover a passion for Mathematics, I can cheer them up whenever they need help and I can be their friendly and trustful tutor when they do not know how to solve a problem. At the moment I am teaching GCSE students and I am familiar with most exam boards. My three-year experience helps me assess quickly the level of every student and this leads to a quick lesson plan for a successful exam.
