I started tutoring during my first year of university and absolutely loved it! I am a bit older now (and hopefully wiser), currently undergoing training to become a commercial pilot. I graduated from the University of Nottingham (Politics and International Relations) with First Class Honours with the Academic Excellence Award. I know how to write and structure a first-class piece of academic work (and arguably more importantly a bad one!). Just get in touch and I can help with anything you might be struggling with. I am a patient and engaging tutor and always work hard to improve a student’s confidence as well as their underlying knowledge. Exam technique is crucial for securing the top grades and I dedicate a lot of time to making sure my student knows how to answer a question in the correct manner. Outside of tutoring, I love sport and play football, golf and tennis.

Subjects I teach: I teach maths and French at a lower level, and GCSE, as well as further maths at GCSE level only and maths at A level. Exam board experience: I have experience with the AQA maths and further maths curricula, and for French I have experience with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum and I used the AQA syllabus for my AS level. Languages: I speak french fluently and have done so since I was 5 years old. SEND experience: I do not have any experience with tutoring students with SEND. I was sometimes placed next to SEND students in lessons in year 9 because my teachers deemed me responsible and able to aid with their work if needed. Preferred student age groups: I enjoy teaching all age groups, but having had less experience with younger I am more familiar with older GCSE to A level students. About me: I was born in the UK but grew up in France from the age of 4, attending a french school for the whole 10 years I was there. This means that I speak the language fluently and achieved a French GCSE at 12 years old. I then moved back to England in 2017 and attended boarding school until the end of 6th form which was something I very much enjoyed. I came away with 13 GCSEs and 4 A levels. I now study Aerospace Engineering at the University of Southampton. I am a vice-president of the motorsport society there and compete in both university and independent karting championships. I also play basketball and tennis twice a week and attend the gym regularly. I also enjoy playing the piano when I have time.

My name is Sheryl, a TEFL-certified educator with a Bachelor’s degree in English Language Education. I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in English Language Education (MAELE). I specialize in teaching English across all levels—Basic, Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced. My expertise includes Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking, Grammar, Business English, Conversational English, English for Academic Purposes, and Reading Comprehension. I also offer homework-based lessons to provide additional support and reinforce learning outside the classroom. I am a PhD student at the University of Strathclyde, where I have also graduated with my Masters in Chemical Engineering. I am currently researching Water Metabolism in Big Cities, as an expansion of Material Balances in Chemical Engineering. In my spare time, besides tutoring, I like to learn about science and technology and make lists and tables of ideas that I have in order to publish them later.
