Subsequently, I pursued my A-levels, advancing my knowledge in specific subjects and preparing for higher education. Currently, I am enrolled in university, where I am actively engaged in furthering my education. This stage of my academic journey has provided me with opportunities to delve deeper into my chosen field of study, contributing to my overall growth and development. With over two decades of professional experience, I, Edwin S. Cordenete, have successfully led and contributed to a wide spectrum of IT initiatives, both locally and internationally. My career spans roles as a Software Engineer, IT Project Manager, and Consultant, during which I have delivered exceptional results in system design, project leadership, and implementing cutting-edge technologies that drive business-critical solutions. My expertise extends to software development, network and server administration, technical documentation, and ensuring quality assurance for complex IT systems. Beyond my industry achievements, I am a dedicated educator, having taught IT courses at renowned institutions including Lyceum of the Philippines University, Mapua University, and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. I’ve also mentored students in mathematics across academic levels, fostering the next generation of problem-solvers and innovators. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and a Master in Engineering Management with a specialization in Systems Management, I continuously refine my expertise. Having an inquisitive and inventive mind, I aim for a career in research (specifically, experimental physics). With a bubbly personality, I enjoy letting my curiosity lead me to new places and people every time I take a break from science. I have 3 years of experience with: exam preparation and primary school. I am a recent graduate from The University of Manchester, and I studied Physics (Programme Title: BSc (Hons) Physics). I was a Bronze Medal recipient in the National Physics Olympiad (Romania, 2017). My biggest strength in tutoring is tailoring a lesson according to the student's learning style, as I was trained to recognize and approach all the different types of intelligence.

Levels and Subjects I teach: I’m an English and History teacher with GoStudent. I can teach these at GCSE and A Level. As a professional writer I can offer academic and creative writing classes to adults and higher level students. I am a teacher of environmental science. I have an MSc in Conservation Ecology and extensive field experience in Latin America, Africa and Asia. Having studied and worked as a professional actor, I can also offer Drama/Acting classes to A Level. Languages: Apart from English, I'm also a fluent Spanish speaker. Preferred student age groups: I prefer to work with students from 10 years and older (to adults), however I have worked with students from 6 years up. About me: I have been a professional travel, environment, and creative writer for the last 20 years, and a teacher for the last 9. I have a background in acting, drama and conservation ecology and when it comes to teaching I draw on these skills to make my classes as fun, dynamic, and interesting as possible. I often use roleplay, music, media, and games to enhance students learning and understanding. Learning is so much easier when it’s fun and thought-provoking. I teach students from young children to the executives of large companies. Outside of my roles as teacher and writer I have also worked as an actor, journalist, conservationist and professional mountain and nature tour guide and tour designer. I love wildplaces. When not working, I love hiking, film, theatre, acting, travel, snorkelling, diving, photography, and martial arts. I also run workshops in creative writing. I have an MSc in Conservation Ecology from Oxford Brookes University. I decided to do this degree after living and working in Latin America, Africa and South East Asia for many years. Living and working as a guide, writer, and conservationist in these places inspired my love of the natural world. My degree is in acting and performance art. I was lucky enough to attend East 15 Acting School (which is now part of the University of East London) to study. I worked as an actor for many years, and I often include roleplay and drama in my lessons. For my A levels I studied English (A), Art (A) and Geography (B).
