Hello! My name is Teacher Quincy, and I'm a 30-year-old licensed educator with a passion for helping students reach their full potential. My goal is to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning in every student I teach. I am excited to continue growing as an educator and look forward to making a difference in the lives of my students. I am a passionate and dedicated ESL teacher with a strong academic foundation and professional qualifications in the field of education. I hold a Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in English, which has equipped me with in-depth knowledge of language instruction and pedagogy. I am a licensed teacher, and I have further enhanced my expertise by earning a TESOL certificate to specialize in teaching English to speakers of other languages. These qualifications, combined with my commitment to fostering effective communication and language skills, have shaped my ability to deliver engaging and impactful lessons to learners of diverse backgrounds.

I am currently studying Law at Durham University and have started to tutor in the summer, whilst I am at home. At university, I have joined the dance society. I play the piano and the flute and enjoy listening to all different types of music, from pop to classical! During my time at school I was in the school band and performed in various charity showcases. English and History were my favourite subjects at GCSE, so I decided to take them at A-Level. I enjoy learning about the past, with my favourite topic being medicine throughout time. My favourite area of English is poetry, and I enjoy reading a vast majority of poems from different periods in time analysing what the poems wider message symbolises.

I am from London and a student who loves to read and write on my blog. I'm also passionate about the personal and educational growth of young people, especially tackling social inequality through tutoring. I feel it is important to build a strong rapport with students whilst delivering subject knowledge in a way that is fun, effective and inspiring I went to King Alfreds School and completed my Alevels in History (A*), Sociology (A) and Art (B). I have tutored previously with TeamUp with children from disadvantaged backgrounds, teaching KS2/ 3 English. Now I am in the process of gaining my bachelor of arts degree in History and Sociology from the University of Manchester!
