Hi I'm Katie. In my free time I like to be with my friends, as well as social events within university, such as out chem eng society! Also, I enjoy cooking and baking and coming up with new recipes and flavours, as well as sharing this to my friends; especially cakes! I'm currently a student at the University Of Birmingham studying chemical engineering. I have a strong passion for both chemistry and maths and i believe these supply the fundamentals for understanding how the world works and can be applied to any real life concept or problem. At school I achieved grade 9 and 8 in Maths and chemistry in GCSE, to then be followed by AA at A level. I also studied physics at a level where i achieved a grade B. I previously tutored younger students during my time at secondary school, this gave me an insight into the concepts that are often misunderstood and ways I can use my knowledge to overcome this, and i now have over two years of online tutoring experience. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm to students to help them progress within their subjects and ultimately make learning be engaging and fun.

Having completed my own GCSEs under the (9-1) system, I'm well suited to teaching the newer, harder topics that have been introduced. Hello! I'm a 28 year old teacher from Deal in Kent, on the South coast of the U.K. I have been teaching in Seoul in South Korea for the last four years, but have recently moved back to the U.K. I have taught English (as a second language), Economics, History and English Literature to secondary school students. I graduated from the University of Leeds in 2017, with a degree in Economics and Management BSc. I'm a current MA student at UCL, studying Education and Development Economics. I'm passionate about education, and am excited about the possibilities of online tutoring for delivering focussed and tailored lessons for students, and helping them achieve their goals!
