I'm Joe and I'm an undergraduate Computer Science student at the University of Birmingham. Along side studying for my degree, I enjoy learning languages, such as Catalan, in the hopes of travelling the world in the future. Likewise, I have a passion for baking (although I don't always get the time) as it's a great way to keep busy and getting some delicious food! I always struggled in school, often being below average at most subjects and not understanding concepts. When I got to GCSE level, my maths teacher made everything so much clearer when she explained things and I quickly began to rise in knowledge. She made me realise how important it is to have someone who is patient and will help you to understand any concept you're struggling with. I have GCSE qualifications in: Maths, Further Maths, English Literature, English Language, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Spanish, and Business Studies. I went on to study A levels at the same school and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience, studying: Maths, Physics, Computer Science, and Spanish. I'm now studying an Integrated Master's degree of Computer Science at the University of Birmingham.

Lower Levels: Maths GCSE: Maths and Further Maths A-Level: Maths and Further Maths I am the most knowledgeable about AQAs exam boards, however can also tutor Edexcel and OCR. I’m a 2nd year mathematics student at the University of Bath and I enjoy playing lacrosse, watching motorsport (and go karting) and running! I received A*A*AA at A-Levels and A* in EPQ. I have 11 GCSEs grades 7-9 including a 9 in Maths. I have taken part in many Maths Challenges, receiving golds and ‘Best in Year’ as well as receiving a merit in the Girls’ Mathematics Olympiad. In sixth form, I was also a subject leader for maths and so enjoy helping others learn and understand the subject :)

I'm studying Natural Product Drug Discovery and it is very multi-disciplined, it involves a lot of chemistry, biology and engineering. I completed my BSc in Chemistry in 2021 with 1st class honours! In my spare time, I like to stay fit by doing boxing, practising yoga and going to the gym! I also enjoy being creative by painting and drawing, as well as knitting and crochet. I am a well-rounded, cultured person and I take interest in many things, my current obsession is cooking and baking!

I am a very approachable, kind, patient and encouraging tutor! My style of teaching is welcoming, relaxed and friendly. I have completed an Understanding Dyslexia Diploma and a SEND Diploma each at Level 3/150 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours. I specialise in tutoring English as a first language (UK curriculum) and a second language (ESL) and have taught students of all ages and abilities (children and adults) all around the world. I have around 3,000 hours of online tutoring experience online, (mostly) teaching one-to-one but I also tutor in small groups. I adapt my lessons to the needs and abilities of the individual child or adult. No two students learn the same way! I may use flashcards, videos, puppets, songs and learning games, trying to make my lessons interesting and fun as I believe that students learn best when they are engaged and enjoying the lesson. I love doing all sorts of crafts, for example crocheting, painting rocks and making sock toys.
